PTI's policy seminars.... ?

Re: Imran Khan's Address at PTI Energy Seminar (February 26, 2012)

Actually chance of any change through educated youth has been spoiled by our establishment through using Imran Khan , For un-educated youth they are using other puppets like Difa e Pakistan council .
Yahan chehray to badal saktay hain magar nizam naheen ,

Re: Imran Khan's Address at PTI Energy Seminar (February 26, 2012)

Educated youth was looking forward to a 'new democracy' after Mush. It is the tail of the dog insistence of PPP leaders to continuously treat Pakistanis like a village badmash occasionally treats the yateem be-sahara larki in Punjabi movies that has massively disappointed youth and they now look for any glimmer of hope.

If this government had cut down on its corruption and badmashi even 50%, a lot of people would still stick to PPP and PML. It is not the glamour of Imran Khan that is attracting people, but it is the disappointment from the two big parties that has given establishment opportunity to step in.

Establishment ko rotay rahna, apney kartoot kabhi na dekhna.

Re: Imran Khan's Address at PTI Energy Seminar (February 26, 2012)

I did not ask for this ^ sir. I asked if "we should stay with Gilani for another five years?" :@:

Re: Imran Khan's Address at PTI Energy Seminar (February 26, 2012)

You are right but
har traf aik sa saman hay
Hairan hoon dil ko roaoon keh peetoon jigar ko main
Maqdoor ho to sath rakhoon noha gar ko main

Re: PTI's policy seminars.... ?

Did anyone attend the seminars and can hash out what kind of policies PTI is proposing? Ending corruption in a week or load shedding in two days etc make for great slogans but they don't tell much in specifics.

Re: Imran Khan's Address at PTI Energy Seminar (February 26, 2012)

Why every after IK's jalsa, these youth steal chairs and food and create chaos? What miracles are you expecting from these niralay if God forbid they come in to power?

Re: Imran Khan's Address at PTI Energy Seminar (February 26, 2012)

There are other people belonging to PPP better than not only Gilani but IK too for that position.

Re: Imran Khan's Address at PTI Energy Seminar (February 26, 2012)

Those who steal chairs are people like you and me and it's a matter of shame for everyone. We as a society are not less corrupt than those who are found in the corridors of power.

Re: Imran Khan's Address at PTI Energy Seminar (February 26, 2012)

As I see it, problem is not with persons, problem is with the policy.

Re: PTI’s policy seminars… ?

All policies are available at official PTI website.

No one ever said corruption can be finished in a week or load shedding in 2 days. They just said people will see the difference within first few months and you need to read Farrukh Saleem’s article to understand Imran’s point about corruption in 90 days:

Military - Dr Farrukh Saleem

Myth 1: Pakistan’s military eats up the largest chunk of our budget. Not true. The largest chunk goes for servicing domestic debt and the second largest chunk is eaten up by losses at public sector enterprises like the Pepco, PIA, Pakistan Steel and Pakistan Railways.

**Fact 1: Current losses at our public sector enterprises can pay for 100 percent of our defence budget

**Now we all know corruption, mismanagement and political appointments are the biggest contributors to the losses to these institutions so when Imran talks about difference in 90 days, don’t you think a MASSIVE difference can be made if we can improve the amanagement of these institutions?

PTI's education policy launched today

Re: PTI’s policy seminars… ?

slides are here

PTI Education Policy

Re: PTI's policy seminars.... ?

So by now PTI has announced its Energy Policy, Economic Policy, Health Policy, Education Policy and Youth Policy. There could be flaws or room for improvement but at least some effort has been made which should be commended.

Re: Imran Khan's Address at PTI Energy Seminar (February 26, 2012)

Gilani or anyone else in PPP are irelevent. The only people who matter are Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Faryal Talpur. We have seen their tenure in last five years... And doesn't matter who comes as a PM infuture.. Things will remain the same as long as this trio own the party as a famly business..

Raja Rental or Gilani are now 10% working for real owners who own 90%...

Re: PTI's policy seminars.... ?

Another Policy being made Public

And this one looks even more promising

Re: PTI’s policy seminars… ?

The worrisome thing about this policy is the interference in the running of private schools in the name of countering ‘elitism’ .
Private schools are doing better than public schools at all economic levels. They are our centers of excellence.
They should be left alone.

Govt. should be spending its efforts in bringing up the standard of public schools to private school level.
