True. That is his biggest challenge and only real hope …mobilising the segment (a whopping 70%) of disgruntled registered voters who traditionally do not bother to show up on polling day. And obviously that is a BIG IF too. As I said else-where PPP and PML-N are effectively fooling the nation with the support of around 10 million voters!!

A few valid points:
There are around 90 million registered voters in Pakistan
only 30% of voters or 27 million bothered to vote in 2008
We now know that 45% or 12.15 million of these votes were fake, bogus or fraud i.e. only 14.85 million votes were genuine
PPP (124 seats) and PML-N (91) won a combined 215 seats out of a total 337 National Assembly seats or 0.637% of the 14.85 million genuine votes (or 9.46 million)
so PPP (and PML-N) are effectively ruling with the support of just 9.46 million or around 1 crore people (out of a population of 180 milion people)
70% of voters are aged < 30 years
if all 100% turn out to vote on election day then IK has a chance albeit small
Whether Imran wins or not is not the point here. The people of Pakistan and esp. the establishment must decide whether they want to maintain the status quo and let the same chors and thugs in (PPP, PML-N, PML-Q, ANP, MQM …*sab corrupt aur matlabi hein, inn mein sey kissi ek mein salahiyat hee nahin *IMO) in the next general election in 2013 or let someone-else (however naive) who is clearly the most capable, honest and sincere among the political lot get us out of the current mess
so my preferred choices:
