I agree with you Ali. But I am also of the view that Balochistan has been melodramatized to some extent as well. I hold the entire country equally responsible for what has been happening in Balochistan. And I also agree that even if Baloch people lack in merit, they should still be given maximum support and opportunities to run their province, but allow me to say that Balochis should also understand that target-klling Punjabis or Pashtuns will bring them no good. It’s going to be a tough asking, but the first step for an ordinary Balochi to wriggle out of sardari system has to come from himself. It’s a dirty war between the establishment and Baloch sardards that has put the ordinary Balochi a thousands years back. Balochi society — not sardars — as a whole must step forward or nothing will change in that province ever.

Agreed, but no one will come forward when they are receiving dead bodies of their comrades every day. The sardari system is not only present in Balochistan, its almost every where in Pakistan, go to interior Sindh and Seraiki Belt. Besides sardars, lets leave Baloch areas, go to the pashtun ones in Balochistan there is not that much difference in the development between them.

Do you know that in 1972 Balochistan assembly passed a resolution for ending the sardari system in Balochistan, and as a result the government was fired and an operation started there. The situation wont improve unless the state deals with all provinces and ethnics living in the country equally.

Anyhow, war is going on there if the Baloch will receive dead bodies they will also kill people whom they can find. This happens every where, it cant be that you keep repressing people and then do not expect a reaction from the other side.

Now we have got this situation which is very complex, what is the way out?
