by the way, off topic but somewhat related to this post. i also had that impression about saad rafique after huge social media campaign, but after watching 3-4 talk shows with saad rafique and PTI fellows on-air, and the forums PTI is choosing to raise their concerns on that constituency, and their response to Saad Rafique's offers, my opinion has changed. its more like a psy-op than politics or rigging which is going on here.
on topic: what constituency asad umar was contesting earlier? of he wasn't contesting at all?
also, cannot they make grant him ticket for some KP provincial assembly (if one is getting released)? so that team PTI has him in KP cabinet or something?

Brilliant!! Asad Umar is a MUST in our National assembly. He shouldn't have any problems winning this seat as JH won it comfortably.
Asad Umar is my favourite after Imran Khan.

I know people in NA-48 who voted PPP in previous elections but voted PTI in this election. NA 48 consists mostly of urban, medium to upper class area of Islamabad with high literacy rate. Asad Umar is well liked and respected here and a favorite to win by-elections.

Higher the turn out, lesser the effects of rigging. (in islamabad voter turn out was the highest as compared to rest of the country to JH won comfortably) and in Pindi too when Hanif Abbasi lost agaisnt IK despite stolen ballot boxes and what not)
NA needs people like Asad Umar.

Pakistan's constitution needs to change. Ministries and departments should be run by technocrats, of course vetted by parliament, unlike giving them to idiots elected by pakistani idiots in elections. What is to say he wouldn't lose to some pml-n candidate considering that they would be in power and people flock to the govt?

Asad Umar is a talented person and a great asset for PTI. He could be made a Senator is due course. However he can do so much for the party by being outside of Parliament for the time being.

He has to be in parliament to implement policy and at some time, the PTI would have to implement policy or present its shadow cabinet since days of talk show raptain are a thing of the past.

Implementation is best supervised by nuts and bolts people like Asad Umar however being in a Parliament would be a distraction for them. Parliament makes laws. Implementation is carried out by the bureaucracy.

The more i listen to Asad Umar speak the more i fall in love with his abilities, his vision, clarity, lack of bullsh|t and much more. He is truly a gem.
