ISLAMABAD: A postings and transfers process has been started in federal police reportedly at the behest of PML-N as part of its efforts to win by polls in NA-48 at any cost.
Police sources said PML-N has stepped up its efforts to regain national assembly seat in upcoming by polls which it has lost in general elections on May, 11 in NA-48. Makhdoom Javed Hashmi , MNA from PTI will quit this seat. PTI’s Asad Omar and PML-N Anjam Aqeel Khan will be the main contenders in electoral bout in this constituency .
Well placed sources said Anjam Aqeel Khan is all set to bag maximum votes from the polling stations where his votes tally remained on lower side during the general elections. He wants to make his target achievable by exercising influence through police and the recent move of reshuffling in federal police is being linked to maneuvering on his part to clinch victory.
Police sources said SSP Islamabad has posted Abid Ikram, SHO, Golra Sharif police station to Sabzi Mandi police station as SHO besides transferring SHO Sabzi Mandi police station to Rescue- 15 and appointing Inspector Mehr Munawwar as SHO Golra Sharif. —Online

this time its very easy for PTI to bring to light, any illegal activity during the poling day or counting. in general elections PTI failed to back up their claims of rigging with proper evidences and didn't report on the right forum on the right time which caused their requests for re-polling got rejected. and this time its very hard for PMLN to do anything like that if they did earlier.

Rigging has almost become a science and the old guards understand it like no other. PTI will need to come up with a fail-safe strategy to stop rigging in all its forms and manifestations. IK will need to exert his personal charisma and Javed Hashmi will be required to knock at virtually every door to ask for votes for Asad. Sheikh Rashid can also come handy. Asad Umar himself is a charming orator and can cast a spell on a relatively educated voter class of NA-48.
Media as well as the ECP-N will also need to be put on high alert for fairness of the whole exercise. Noon League needs to be put on its back foot given the fact that they have no reason to earn any bad name for a single seat while they would have already been in power by then. Sharif is already under preser because of the power crisis. Reclaiming NA-48 should not be a Herculean task for the PTI, but I still hope that the party goes into the bye-poll with 100% planning and not 99%.
