Re: PTI Karachi Jalsa will decide
Not love. IK used to hate MQM. He was Zulfiqar Mirza at one time. But now he is open for future alliance with the very same people he used to call mafia, bhatta-khor, terrorist, and what not.
Other points have been discussed all right. And this is not the place to talk about them.
This is why I only asked IF he talked about those VERY IMPORTANT issues which will have huge impact on Pakistan.
Re: PTI Karachi Jalsa will decide
Just remember all Lotas who spoke at this meeting Who were saying same this year for Zardari ,Shareefs and Chauhdaris They may be true this time but than they were lying than How you can believe lies ?
You just want the PPP lotas back, don't you?
BTW, didnt know you would give yourself a break from stalking a Californian teenager to pay attention to this jalsa.
Re: PTI Karachi Jalsa will decide
Thanks. But I was not asking for your opinion. I was asking if Imran said anything on this very important issue in his speech in Karachi or Lahore. Remember, this issue defined him as Taliban Khan, whether right or wrong. So it is important issue which will have tremendous impact on Pakistan's future.
So did he say something?
Other than you, who doesn't really count.... who else in the 'media' or 'criticis' or 'political world' used the term 'Taliban Khan' for IK?
Re: PTI Karachi Jalsa will decide
dhuaan uth-ta hay dil se yoon, lagee thee aag ye kaisaayyyyyy
Uncle, these “lotas” served PPP for so long, its shame that you now call them lota even though yourself don’t like Zardari/Rahman Malik… atleast people are leaving parties to show their resentment, now you can say all you want ![]()
Re: PTI Karachi Jalsa will decide
IK said many things in past but later reverted. Like his love-hate relationship with MQM. Now that is a complete somersault. Taliban Khan will be outdated if he throws light on this subject. Just avoiding it only means that he wants to make everyone happy by not talking about controversial subjects. But this is such an important subject that he should have talked at least something about it. His dream of making Pak a welfare state will not materialize if Pakistan's foreign policy is at collision course with its neighbors.
About Clinton and talking to Taliban. Actually, Taliban never was America's problem. It was only after Qaeda. And since Qaeda is weakened therefore they are willing to talk to Taliban. But Pak's problem is Taliban. Qaeda is not our problem. It is the other way around. America can talk to Taliban but Pakistan shouldn't.
Why just pick on IK? One could argue that every party incl. PPP and PML-N has a love-hate relationship with MQM (because they are always only too willing to get in bed with whoever is in government!! This unique policy defines MQM) + remember PPP-PML-Q (Qatil League) alliance (there can be no bigger political somersault than this!!)
Not saying it is unimportant but the Taliban issue is no longer our biggest problem (Besides there have been no recent attacks by TTP)
To the common man TTP is the least of his worries. He is more worried about rising food and energy (gas, electricity) prices, how to feed his kids etc.
Corruption and mismanagement at every level is our biggest problem right now
Re: PTI Karachi Jalsa will decide
And you are asking for one more bad character
Re: PTI Karachi Jalsa will decide
2 years down the road and most of you will be badmouthing against PTI and IK...it happened before, with Mush and with those before him and it will happen again until people start doing "out of the box thinking".
When someone does anything wrong people have right to criticize him or badmouth him, its a good thing IMO, instead of defending their corrupt ministers like jiyalas do, or PML-N supporters do.

Re: PTI Karachi Jalsa will decide
Congratulation to the people of Karachi..
You may or may not like PTI and Imran Khan but..
You can not deny:
1) Every ethnic community in Karachi attended the rally with same zeal. Communities who were fighting/killing each other just 2 months ago were singing together. This is the single largest achievement of the rally.
2) The enthusiasm of the people who attended the rally was unprecedented. You may or may not like IK, but you can not deny that patriotic people of Karachi have shown their concern for the country.. and demonstrated their love for Pakistan through this event.
PTI is not the only winner after yesterday's rally.. People of Karachi and Pakistan were the clear winners.
Some of my friends who attended yesterday's rally have very emotional patriotic status on face book today. I am sure it must have been a very sensational experience for them to be actually there..
IK.. thank you very much.. for making us feel like a proud Pakistani after a long time.
Thanks to all the Pakistani media for covering the event non stop for six hours.. like a true national event.. you gave millions of Pakistanis a chance to share common feelings with Karachi.. mini Pakistan in true sense..
Thanks to all the participants who showed the world how resilient our nation is.. after losing 35,000 brothers and sisters in last few years.. they took a great risk by attending the event... and showing the world that no one can break our spirits..
Re: PTI Karachi Jalsa will decide
Lahore and karachi jalsas have no doubt dealt lethal blows to both PMLN and PPP. Yesterday's speech of Imran Khan was very passionate, and it gave glimpse of a leader who had a vision, who has already proven himself to be a good administrator (both qualities are required for good leaders).
I for one am more interested now in the Quetta jalsa, as we need to start working towards reducing the grievances of Baloch people asap (every minute that we are wasting is aggravating the situation and the sentiments of Balochs towards the rest of Pakistan). Hopefully that jalsa would be more memorable as compared to the two conducted so far.
Re: PTI Karachi Jalsa will decide
I am being cautious about all of this. Its still a year and a half away before elections. A lot can change in 1 year. Even in 1 month. Lets see if he can keep the momentum going.
Re: PTI Karachi Jalsa will decide
^ agreed!
Re: PTI Karachi Jalsa will decide
One consequence of this jalsa…I am pretty sure the other parties will try to be a little bit more active in Balochistan as well before 23 march…
PML-N decides to bridge gaps
**
RAIWIND: The leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to mend the souring relationships with the party workers, Geo News reported Monday.
According to sources, PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif has asked the leaders to bring back the annoyed members and make efforts to retain them in the party. He said that the workers are the asset of a party and it can not function without its members.**
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting here where important decisions were made along with bringing back the angry workers. He instructed the party leaders to make contacts with the assembly members who are part of PML-N and also with those who are currently having differences with the leadership on emergency basis.

One year to be precise. We are almost in 2012
Elections must be held by Jan 2013 (at the latest)
IMO elections should be held every 4 years (just like in US. They have the best system IMO. Every one knows when the next election is, Nov something, and when the new President will take oath, 20 Jan. No incumbent leader can tinker with any of these dates. Even in the UK it is upto the PM whether to hold a general election after 4 or 5 years. I certainly do not agree with that) not 5
Pakistanis are impatient people at the best of times and 5 years is just too long a wait..
Hope the next parliament can do something about it
