PTI hooliganism

Why are these people taking laws into their own hand? The govt must take action against these people and bring them to justice.

PTI, PPP workers clash over Bilawal House barricades - DAWN.COM

KARACHI: Workers and supporters of the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party and the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf engaged on Sunday in a rare fracas on the street outside the barricaded Bilawal House after a controversy over the longstanding walled security surrounding the former president’s house raged intriguingly after the PPP’s young chairman in his Dec 27 speech in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh had derided Imran Khan for siding with Taliban militants.

Bizarre scenes were witnessed early in the day when dozens of PTI workers holding party flags and sticks started gathering near the street leading to the Bilawal House which was barricaded with large containers and water tankers by the authorities. They chanted slogans against the government and called for removing the barricades which, according to them, caused hardship to motorists and area residents.

PTI to lay siege to Wapda House, SNGPL GM

PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will besiege the Wapda House in Peshawar and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines limited (SNGPL) general manager’s office today (Monday) to protest against power and gas loadshedding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The PTI legislators said they would lead the protesters and would march towards the Wapda House on the Shami Road and SNGPL GM’s office in Hayatabad. Speaking at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Sunday, members of the provincial assembly Ziaullah Afridi, Ishtiaq Urmar, Fazal Ilahi, Mehmood Jan, MNA Sajid Nawaz and Arbab Jehandad alleged that unprecedented loadshedding of electricity and natural gas in the province was a conspiracy hatched by the federal government to defame the PTI government in the province.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is producing 4,800 megawatts hydel power and its total consumption is less than 2,300 megawatts but the province is facing more than eight hours of loadsheding in urban and over 14 hours in rural areas, they said. The lawmakers added that gas generation in the province is also double than its consumption. They warned of extending the protest to Islamabad if loadshedding was not stopped.

“If the PTI activists can demolish the walls of Bilawal House, they can also raze to ground the walls of the Raiwind palace and Prime Minister’s House. Nawaz Sharif stopped flour supply to the province during his last tenure and now he is trying to punish the people of the province for voting for the PTI,” said one of the MPAs.
They said the unbearable loadshedding was a conspiracy just to defame the PTI government but the party led by Imran Khan would foil all such conspiracies and would fullfil its promises made with the people.

At the end, everyone has the jis ki laathi oos kee bhains mentality. Pti workers are no saint. These are the same people who were once part of mqm, ppp, ji, pml .... so not gonna become civilized just because they are in pti now.

Re: PTI hooliganism

and no I am not saying PTI are saints, but if ppp didn’t react to this peaceful protest it would be better. let them do at the end of day they will go to their home

Re: PTI hooliganism

Not sure if you got a chance to see any other source than the news that you quoted, but PTI protest was a peaceful one, at boat basin, at a distance from Bilawal House....and tv cameras captured a gang of thugs arriving in trucks, on motorbikes, wielding sticks...who then proceed to beat the protesters, while police stood by and watched.

Not the first time Ive witnessed the thuggish nature of PPP. Being in the thick of things on the day Benazir died, I witnessed some of the most vile and animalistic behavior from PPP goons pretending to be humans. The worst part is PPP office bearers justifying this behavior in the name of jiyalaism.

Sindh High court has a standing verdict ordering the demolition of the wall blocking the road in front of Bilawal House. Instead of acting like bhutto lapdogs, its better for PPP to come out and say that they dont give a crap about court verdicts.

Re: PTI hooliganism

many of these gundas came in MNA's car and sharmila farooqui was threatening live on TV n dr. arif still saying to his protestors to remain calm n police beat arif alvi n he is the MNA of tht area

Re: PTI hooliganism

PTI must not instigate workers to use force, says Pervaiz Rashid

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid Monday said Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) must not instigate its workers for law breaking as the use of force in politics could give birth to anarchy and push the workers on the path of terrorism.
Talking to media after attending the concluding session of 10-day celebrations of “Ashra-e-Quaid,” organised by Such TV, he said that the government was ready to hand over the control of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) to Chairman PTI Imran Khan to make possible the recovery of electricity bills from the defaulters.
Responding to a question he said, the court of history has already given its verdict regarding former President Pervez Musharraf and now his case was in the court of law. The government has provided ample opportunity to former president Pervez Musharraf to give his side of the story in the court of law.
And his statements outside the court have no relevance as we had already seen him airing statements while hovering pistols and fists, he added.
The standard of living of the people could not be improved via satellite while sitting in the cozy atmosphere of Canada. The standard of living of the people have registered significant improvement during the tenure of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz).
He cited the examples of motorway, metro bus service, green channel facility at airports, laptop and others which helped improving the standard of living of the people of the country.
The government has already relaxed various conditions of Prime Minister’s business loan scheme. The scheme has been simplified and made result-oriented by ensuring the security of the money of Banks. The PM has relaxed the conditions of youth loan scheme. Close relatives could also be the guarantor of the loan obtaining youth.
Regarding Pak-India relations, he said the agreement of both countries to settle their disputes through negotiations was a great breakthrough.
Regarding his achievements, he said his great achievement was the extermination of secret fund. Government wants to make Pemra an independent and viable institute.
Earlier speaking in the last day of Such TV’s 10 days ‘Ashra-e-Qaid’ celebrations, he urged the management of the channel to organize a debate on Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s sayings so true and false could be sifted apart.
He said the true meaning of the sayings of Quaid-i-Azam could be spread and implemented in the country. The sayings of Quaid-i-Azam must not be distorted.
The meaning and translation of Quaid-e-Azam’s golden words Unity, Faith and Discipline had been changed by the powerful. Such change was the intellectual dishonesty. The basic philosophy of the state was also changed by the powerful.
Despite the presence of several political parties including religious parties the Quaid-i-Azam decided to used the platform of Pakistan Muslim League.
The basic philosophy behind was to use the power of argument for bringing a change and avoid the use of force.
Later he distributed shield and certificates among the anchors and participants of10 day Asra-e-Quaid celebrations.

Re: PTI hooliganism

Why go and protest in front of his house? The barriers are there to protect him, and they are put up by the police, who is this PTI MNA to go and remove them? Who give PTI workers that right?

Btw, I'm no fan of BBZ, but he is a national fig now. Why do you want to make martyr out of him? Aren't there already enough un-desrving martyrs?

Re: PTI hooliganism

This is where the media disinformation comes in, and folks fall for it hook line and sinker.

Protest was announced at Bilawal chowrangi..about half a km away from Bilawal house.... . When hooligans threatened the protestors there, the protestors decided to take their protest to boat basin, which is more than 2 km away from bilawal house. Only when PPP thugs attacked the protestors at boat basin did Dr. Alvi try to go in front of Bilawal House to protest the thuggery...and all through this, the police was complicit with the attackers.

And if they are put up by the police, then the same police has been ordered by the high court to remove them. But I forgot that law in Sindh goes only one way.

Re: PTI hooliganism

^^^ Clashes took place outside BBZ’s house.
