Desert bird, since you posted it, so I may ask you. Which “maktaba e fikr” does Haroon Rasheed indicate to when he says “Hareef matakba e fikr”?
Since it is Taliban khawarij who have caused death and destruction in Pakistan since last few decades, I suppose he is referring to their khariji “maktaba e fikr”.

but alas I was wrong. Imran khan became quiet under public pressure but he has not changed his stand and now he is trusting them again and even worst, funding them.big mistake if you ask me.

Head of the madrassah, maulana samiul haq, has been a part of MMA(majlise amal), is the head of JUIS, and has served as a senator. The guy is a part of the national political process. He has issued fatwa against those who attack polio workers. He termed the APS attack an un-islamic act.
We disagree with him on many things, but it is obvious that he can be brought into the mainstream since he is already a part of the political process. We cant be hypocrites and say that oh, his madrassah breeds terrorists, and then let him roam free. Even JUIF breeds many terrorists at its madrassahs, and Fazlur Rehman is toasted left right and center by the likes of PPP and pMLN....not just Ch. Nisar.
If the govt decides that they are terrorists, then arrest them and close their madrassahs, all inclusive.

^ I dont think JUI-F is not against attack on polio workers so why not this mehrbani on them too . Isnt it a type of bribe... Same as NS doinng some schemes for formers just before elections. What is the criteria.
For me criteria is simple . Any one believe Mumtaz qadri a hero should be sent to jail as he / she has full jaraseem of becoming another self proclaimed hero.
Any mudressah to be funded must put their understanding about their islamic belief ( regarding terrorist relative activities ) it in black and white ( no 50-50) to be eligible for donation.

But even if true, introduction of English/Computers etc. will only make even more sophisticated khariji extremists. It will not change these snakes into human beings.
It is not the lack of these subjects which make them such. Otherwise the alumni of places like IBA wouldn’t have carried out Safoora Goth massacre and killing of Sabeen Mahmood.
It is the extremist mentality which is the problem. There is nothing in that $30m bribe from public money which will mitigate that.
Imran is indirectly responsible for deaths of thousands of people all across the country due to his mainstreaming of extremism, including that of children in APS massacre.

I understand your urge to support PTI. After all, we are fed up with the two proven criminal and corrupt families usurping right to loot the country one after another. I myself was very optimistic when Imran appeared on the political horizon. It gave people the third choice which they were so desperately looking for. Imran appeared to be an honest politician whose life was untainted with corruption.
But unfortunately for Pakistan, for us, this HONEST politician may turn out to be even WORSE for Pakistan if given chance to run the country. He is already showing in KP what lies ahead for us if he comes to power. While PPP and PMLN get along with extremists whenever it suits them, this HONEST politician totally HONESTLY support the extremists without any precondition.
So if you care for your future then you have to open up your eyes and see his real ugly face. I know it is painful. I know it is sad to let go of your hopes of having an honest alternative to PPP/ PMLN looting. But for the sake of your future, for the sake of our future, keep away from this extremist-friendly demagogue.

There was a time when Taliban really were mainstream. 90s. There were buses in Karachi with slogans like "aaney do Taliban". Common people in Pakistan were ecstatic that a group of Muslim warriors was establishing the shariat in Afghanistan where cities and towns were falling in front of them quickly.
That was the time Pakistan army, still under the influence Zia's ideology, had created this Taliban movement, with the help of Samiul Haq having Akorra Khatak as the center.
But then a lot of water passed under the bridge. A lot of things changed with the last 15 or 20 years. Talibaniat has been exposed in front of every Pakistani. They are no more mujahideen but the criminals/RAW agents etc.
Supporting Samiul Haq's "Students" today is not the same as supporting them yesterday. That's what I am trying to say.
