In a joint press conference in Multan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders Javed Hashmi and Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that politicians were protecting their own interests and were giving priority to self instead of national interest, therefore people should boycott the coming by-polls.Javed Hashmi said that all political parties agreed on his name as presidential candidate but Nawaz Sharif did not accept it. Hashmi said that PPP and PML-N were using backdoor policy.
Vice Chairman PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that President Zardari negotiated with him after calling him to the presidency but he did not sell his self esteem.
Both the leaders strongly condemned the human rights violations in Balochistan and voiced for limited role of army in the troubled province.

Looks like they are looking at the bigger picture and rightly so. With so many of bogus votes still valid, a possible clandestine deal between PPP and PML-N in the cards and all official machinery available to anti-PTI candidates, it appears to be a wise move. In view of possibility of general elctions by the year-end, I think it is fine for PTI not to foray into by-elections.

So what new here??? they are in the boycotting business for sometime now!!! i do not know what is their excuse is this time? if IK can say that from where he is going to get saints and have the already tried and tested politicians in its rank, the politicians who are use to these conditions and pitches so what is the problem now??? i think EC have assured SC that the news lists for the constitueincies where the by-election are scheduled will be completed in priority basis... so now what??? they cannot contest election if PML-N, PPP or any other political party will take part in it????

Today Mr Khan announced in a 'Jalsa' that PPP and PML N can not defeat me even if they are together .
I am agree with him .
All parties of Pakistan can not defeat him .

It's a very disturbing scenario. All political parties have become 'like-minded' except PTI. Zardari's policy of 'loot parity' has been very successful as everyone is having a bonanza. Everyone in the ruling elite will want this setup to continue forever as it suits them the best. God bless junta!
