This guy McCullouch was not the choice of Ferguson residents to take this to the Grand Jury. 70000 of the residents were against his choice as prosecutor. And for good reason.
He conducted this grand jury more as a defense attorney. In 120000 federal grand jury’s only 11 didn’t make it to trial. That should raise red flags.
He presented all the witness testimonies, including inconsistencies. This is not the practice. The prosecution simply provides ample evidence to show there is just cause to go to trial.
He allowed Wilson to give 4 h of testimony. All that car incident, Brown looking like a demon, all Wilson testimony. Unprecedented.
This was a bogus attempt by the prosecutor. Honest people will realize that. Those who defend the grand jury in spite of ample evidence to the contrary - what goes around, comes around.
Re: Prosecutor in the Mike Brown murder didn’t want the case to go to tria
The National Bar Association, as was pointed out by another poster in a different thread, is going to push the Justice Dept to pursue a case against Wilson.
No surprise. When less than 0.01 pct (less.than 1 in 10000) cases fail to make it to trial, honest people will smell something fishy.
Here is the testimony that Wilson gave. Directly contradicted by the person walking with Brown. But no. This was one out of more than 10,000 cases that failed to go to trial.
For anyone into probability, the odds of this case NOT going to trial were LESS than 0.0001. Or MINISCULE. One does not need a law degree to come to this conclusion. Just common sense. And a pinch of honesty.
Re: Prosecutor in the Mike Brown murder didn’t want the case to go to tria
at some point Wilson states that Brown was leaning into the cruiser…some witness says that Wilson was “pulling Brown in”.
what do you believe?
I find it hard to believe that any black man would lean into a cruiser in an offensive posture.
By the same token I find it hard to believe that any cop would pull someone towards himself from a seated position…
Re: Prosecutor in the Mike Brown murder didn’t want the case to go to tria
have you guyz ever been to ta traffic ticket violation hearing? I think most of us would have. If you plead no guilty for ticket and keep going ahead to challeng it and face a hearing in the end, what happens if the cop shows up? The court barely even listen to you. They just listen to the cop, ask them questions and all that and no matter how much you jump up and down give the decision in favor of cop.
Now how in the world do you expect they would suspect cop in this case? DUH
Re: Prosecutor in the Mike Brown murder didn’t want the case to go to tria
Agreed.
However…how many of us know that the vast majority of people who challenge traffic violation fines do so hoping that the cop will not show up and the court will, by default, find in our favour? There are always two sides to every story.
Re: Prosecutor in the Mike Brown murder didn’t want the case to go to tria
I don’t think that it would have mattered whether or not the cop is guilty; the KKK would have supported him just for being white.
So, no, I can’t accept the KKK’s opinion as a measure of what’s right or wrong.
Re: Prosecutor in the Mike Brown murder didn’t want the case to go to tria
Let us step back and look at stats. Less than one in 100000 grand jury cases don’t go to trial.
This prosecutor was not favored by the community.
The prosecutor conducted this as if this case was abt guilty beyond reasonable do7bt. He simply had to present sufficient information to cross a low bar - get the case to trial.
His behaviour suggests he got what he wanted. For the case not to go to trial.
The National Bar Association wants some to disbar the prosecutor.
The issue here is NOT if Wilson is guilty. It is if there is prosecutorial misconduct. If he was on the side of the cop.
.
The prosecution had no chance with thus rogue prosecutor.
Re: Prosecutor in the Mike Brown murder didn’t want the case to go to tria
While kkk Fox news and Guiliani et al cheering the verdict may appear irrelevant, one should also consider the jury was mostly white. With attitudes close to the aforementioned.
