Im not talking about religion here…I already know what Islam says.
I want to know the pro’s and con’s of dating…what are the benefits and what are the drawbacks?

ummm ... i think pro's of dating are that it makes u a better person as in bein more responsible.. learning to come on time .....makes ppl care for eachother.. and taking things and situations much more seriously, instead of just ignoring them... And CON's ... well in my opinion one for the con's would be having sex before marrige, like i said it's my opinion so it might not be same for everyone cuz everyone has limits and boundries. ummm .....yea lol thats the only con that i had in my mind right now lol....^_^

Pros: It's fun for the most part, u get that intense 'high' of the relationship, ur heart skips a beat etc., there is literally nothing better than the feeling of being in love..
Lows: The opposite of everything above can happen when u fight or split up :(
If ur having sex there's also obviously the danger of getting pregnant as well as the possibility that if u break up with that person then marry another guy who's expecting a virgin ur past could make things messy
Also, u have to be careful ur intimate pics and videos don't end up being spread around if/when ur other half wants to get u bk, turns bitter and twisted or even just wants to show off to his friends..

BUT what about other aspects of it like STDs or unplanned pregnancies? What if one person falls out of love? What if both are not on the same page? Not everyone that dates is looking for marriage you know.

if dating doesn't lead to marriage but just limits to enjoying company that wastes time. dating several guys without fruitful results can cause emotional stress. if people find about it, it gives u bad name in ur desi circle.

Considering most western desi guys don't seem to virgins when they marry anyway I don't think having an arranged marriage is any sort of guarantee u won't get an STD.. With the other things u mentioned that's just the risk u take, really if ur that sensitive a person that u can't handle a person falling out of love (which again can happen in an arranged marriage - or real love not even developing in the first place) u prob shouldn't get involved in the first place.. most adults can and do move on tho..
If a person has never been in a relationship it's going to be impossible for them to understand that intense high that others in relationships do feel when they're with a person who they love (or think they do lol)..

When you're dating, is it inevitable that you have a sexual relationship? Can't you just get to know the person without any physical hanky panky?

^ I know of girls who will do anything with their other halves except actual sex (or they take it the other way so they can still somehow say they're a virgin.. bit twisted tho) so it's possible but then again some ppl would say foreplay is more or less the same thing.. Hmmm, I guess there are some Muslim (or generally religious) couples who won't do foreplay either or even kiss, just innocent holding hands, hugs etc. but they'd prob be a minority imo.. Don't think many people have that amount of willpower..

Dating to me is name of "Meeting or getting in touch with the person to get-to-know for the purpose of marriage". If it remains to this extent, its fine but I am never for extended dating, foreplays and physical encounters.
Unfortunately, dating has become a synonym for "going out, enjoying time and have some fore-play (kissing least to say) or may be physical relation" - that IMO, does not bring anything constructive to the table other than 2 min pleasure...

Dating can be fun, but Could have bad consequences.
1-STD
2-unwanted kids
3-Women get attached and it cause heartache(thats how they are designed)
Dating is every thing what marriage is minus responsibility minus emotional/physical protection minus
commitment.
Over all not recommended to date one person for long time.
But Then again short connection make you a whore, and you get into situation in which whores get often.

One more aspect of it...lets say there is physical attraction and chemistry. Well, I guess some sort of physical relationship is inevitable...no? Regardless of marriage being in the cards...it WILL happen right? Which is why they say when man and woman are alone...the third person is shaitaan.
