i'm wearing a sari on my graduation....but no one and i mean no one is going to wear asian to the prom...and if i'll be the only one i'll just make a fool out of myself. my muslim friends are also wearing dresses but i'm not sure what type.

I’m not sure what kind of look your wanting to go for, but this is what i purchased for a party back in Dec., theyre also available in long sleeves.

I wore a long silver mixed with gold dress which was actually all lace with black lining underneath. It was really pretty - long, fitted with a matching shawl. The back was deep with strings joined together by those fake diamond studs. :D
The following year, the puffy princess dresses came in fashion. I really wanted to wear that style, lekin when I went to the prom, long and fitted dresses were in fashion. :(

If you can’t find a dress with sleeves (which is pretty hard!), you can always buy a nice sparkly cardigan to wear over the dress…I’ll try to find a pic. It’s not as hideous as it sounds if you find the right piece to go over the dress.

but wear something u will feel comfortable in...i kno everyone else is prolly gonna wear something similar...and u dont want to feel like a 'sore thumb' but...but be different...and stand out...wear something thats long and covering everything--but yet hot...and sassy.
on my grad...i wore a purple lehnga type thing---my mom made it---it was completely plain...nothing on it...but it was the shiny material...and my mom made it long sleeved...with a small dupatta that i wore around my arms...and she made a necklace to go with it..that matched the outfit---eveyone loved my outfit--cause it was unique---these goray ppl rarely get to see something diff--they like diff things---so dont be afraid to wear something that not everyone else is wearing
