My skool prom is this cuming weekend..but i m not gonna go ..
i dont wanna go either..!It wuld b boring without a date!
sum muslim girlz in my skool who went to the prom last yr wore shalwaar kameez or long dresses with scarf on..

Lol I heard of one hijabi who, on her prom, went all out, hijab went off, on came the makeup and hairdo and slutty dress, and her parents were kewl wit it!

My cousin for her prom wore a long golden strapless dress, and pinned the shawl to her shoulders so it covered her back and upper arms.. for my prom I had this gorgeous red dress that had black net over it wit beads and the front of it came down the knees whereas the back was regular floor length, it was strapless,and I was gonna wear tights with a shawl to cover my shoulders/arms.. but i never went to prom :teary2: .. that dress is sitting there going to waste, itna paisa zaya kiya :bummer: :teary1:

I knew anohter grl frm my MSA, for her engagement she took a typical halter type gown and had sleeves added.. it looked cute , you can jus do that :slight_smile:

These days shrugs are so common, you can buy any long dress you like, and if it is sleeveless or the sleeves are too short, just wear the shrug over it.

The dresses on the beautifully modest website are just ugly!! Same shape, no variety, nothing.. i think u’d be better off jus getting a regular dress and having it tailored for sleeves/neckline..

Yes, Ive broughted it for my Ball in July. I had a similar one last year, except it was a two piece, it was a corset with black skirt and so on. I wanted a one-piece dress this yea though.

I looks like a princess in it!! (Its a vintage, I brought it off a lady in the market of camden)

no wait, that was my last years one. (or annother one :-/ ) I think this one is from a second hand shop that deals exclusively in old ball dresses.

I was soooo chubby/borderline fat when I went to the prom. I looked like a whale with a small face. A cute looking whale. :clown:

interesting ...i cud never imagine ppl wearing desi clothes to the prom .... u shud go wit a dress from Macy*s or something.... it depends on where u live
