Professional Hairstyles For Longer Hair

My hair is past my shoulders and I’m tired of leaving it open for work.
I need something that doesn’t get in my way when I’m working at my desk and also something that looks a bit more polished and professional.

Can someone please suggest some style(s) that comes across more finessed, is tied up but not necessarily up-tight :cb: and of course, is easy to put together in the mornning…

Re: Professional Hairstyles For Longer Hair

ive always loved “rachel” hair on friends…and i particularly loved she had her hair in this style…

it has a little “puff” in the front…but somethign not too dramatic..very subtle

Re: Professional Hairstyles For Longer Hair

yeahh!

a quif…with hair tied back…looks good

my hairs long so i alwayz have it either straightened and on one side or i just do a quif with hair tied back or plaited :phati:

Re: Professional Hairstyles For Longer Hair

ponytails are for little girls in school....beyond that they look like you just don't care.

Plaits are good if they are french.

I was thinking more along the lines of an upated french roll or something. ......

Re: Professional Hairstyles For Longer Hair

i love ponytails!!!

french roll? u said u wanted something easy!!

but i'll look around for u...got not else better to do...

Re: Professional Hairstyles For Longer Hair

I can't stand french twists.

Re: Professional Hairstyles For Longer Hair

Okay my hair is way past my shoulders...partly intentional and partly because i'm too busy to go and get it cut.

French plaits - look cute and sexy (especially when its in a messed up style)
Ponytails - efficient and professional

Other suggestions is u could use hair grips to partly pin back some hair on one side (or both sides if u really want it out of the way).

A braid, but using ponytail hairbands instead...so that the braid consists of 4/5 hairbands.

Oh, and there used to be a style in the 90's (cannot for trying remember what is was called)...but basically u have a ponytail, and then u split the hair on the back crown of the head and pull the pon through it (i know its not a very good description! sorry)

Or otherwise go with a french bun.

Re: Professional Hairstyles For Longer Hair

side-parted hair tied into a low sleek ponytail looks really nice and professional.
I also like those high ponytails with the crown back-combed and puffed up (but thats sort of a mod look i guess)

Re: Professional Hairstyles For Longer Hair

uff...all of you and the ponytails....

Re: Professional Hairstyles For Longer Hair

^ actually I did the rachel thing today and I've gotten complimented twice. :)

Re: Professional Hairstyles For Longer Hair

Ponytail is not only for little girls in school :halo: I do it all the time..and i m not a little girl..I think if you have it done nicely..it looks very professional..

Re: Professional Hairstyles For Longer Hair

ewwwwwwwwwwwww

NO MUZNA B!! noooooooooo

Re: Professional Hairstyles For Longer Hair

Gosh I remember that...I think it was called a topsy tail or something of the sort...

Muzna: how about a low bun...? Gather and tie hair at the nape of your neck and twist and pin to form a bun in the style of your choosing...

High buns can look uptight sometimes...but I think low low buns are very chic...
