I have seen some Punjabi/Urdu Speaking Couples.They do have some issues.They are of cultural and social nature.Like culture of “Adab n Tameez” Vs “Open and Frank”.Speaking “fast” Urdu vs “slow” urdu.Food Differences:“Palao” Vs “Biryani”.“Lassi” Vs “Milk Shake”. Sri Pae Vs Nihari. Sarsoon ka saag Vs palak Paneer. Paan vs ???Different Interpretations.Differences in Weddding ceremonies.These are the two pakistanis ethnicites that mostly interact and some time intermarry.but just wanna know abt the differences from personal experiences!

or urdu speaking marries an urdu speaking they dont have issues?

Well... even tho some people cant speak punjabi or urdu. They still understand it. Its not hard if you kno one of the languages. And if it is still hard. translate it in english i suppose.

Tell me about it. It is not just Punjabi marrying an Urdu speaking person, it's a Punjabi marrying a Sindhi as well! Sindhi urdu accent is a bit heavy on the ears!

and saag with makai ki roti

I am only talking abt pakistani punjabi and pakistani urdu speaking people.both cultures n grt and on the most part get along beautifully.just wana know the nitties n gritties.the differences and how will it effect a mix couples.eg food? culture? styles?
if its about karchi and lahori people then i see ur point ...
i think urdu speaking people think punjabis doesnt know how to cook or something like that...one of my cousin is married in urdu speaking and she had very hard times living among them ..generally a woman doenst like the 'dictation' in the kitchen from anyway unless she asks for it. ...if there isnt any thrid person's invovlment in couple's kitchen then i think they will have less problems

^ hain urdu speakers dictated ur friend? punjabis r the most nosy and noisy ppl around. but they cook gr8. i like punjabi food better.
OK Farhanyu getting serious now. its no big deal. these issues r trivial and bigger, much bigger issues arise in marriage.
