After about 2 week's viewing of the free to air Prime...I gotta say nothing has changed...they're just repeating the same old programmes which they aired about two years ago before I disconnected...e.g. Marinas Kitchen, Atiqa Udo show, Amar and I think showcase with salman too. Poor quality dramas such as Kali Ghatain and Chand Babu.... I thought it was on the improve?

coolmunda i think u r a difficult person to please, have u not watched the new drama's, chingari, tere aajane se, suneri zanjeer, anhoni, tip top, ko ko koreena just to mention a few. geo and ary are all not that great, there drama's are glamorous yes, but no story lines. there exact copys of indian drama's which lack story lines but are good at glamour.

no geo dramas are way beeter..like kali ghatain is sooo boring*yawns*yh the channel didnt inprove since last year ,the only decent pogramme was ko ko koreena and everything else was boiring..i hardly ever watched prime

i think u ppl are just anti prime, no matter how good the shows are u will always hav something to say. there is nothing so great abt geo or ary, hav u watched that new drama on ary ghar garonda, the sets are like indian drama's same stories very good on glamour but no story line.

I hate galmourised dramas too... and I know good quality dramas when I watch them e.g. Chingari and many others that have been shown in the past on PTV Prime.
What annoys me is the repeat programmes and the crap kali gahtain type dramas. I also hate their choice of pop songs (mainly those low quality and low budget videos) -- they hardly show any of the 'new' pop videos currently being aired on Aag, Geo and The Muzik.
The only problem I have with GEO is that they don't show any good entertainment programmes after 9pm.
However shows like Maachis, Khauff and that khawaja something's adalat are quite interesting. Telefilms are ok too (but not as good as Geo quality wise.)
There is still a lots of room for improvment.

I like the long plays they show on saturdays 10.30 CEST , and luved the drama Lahasil ..

its not that anyone is against prime, but prime has not much to offer, and talking 'bout geo and ary they only show glitter and glamour, women wearing saaris at home, 10 kilo makeup, jewellery etc etc, there is no drama left that is based on reality, but khuda ki basti ..
and for prime i like the long plays they show.. very simple and very true :)
P.S.there was an drama on ARY called Murat, i heard its a very nice drama, my sis saw it in canada .. anyone?

YEAH..!! I saw it too.. but that was a while ago..more than a yeah i think.. Zaima u really have 2 watch that drama.. its so awesome..:)

its been a year now.. since the drama was on.. maybe 2 years.. I was abt to buy the dvd in pakistan.. maar die kun je hier niet krijgen..:(

in the long term all these channels will struggle to survive. these channels are obviously want to make money. so how will they do this? they are not subsription channels. so the only income they will have is from commercials. if you look at geo they hardly have any commercials because their rates are too high.
ary was going to encrypt qtv, the musik and ary oneworld. but i think they will remain free to air. they are only advertising subscription for ary digital, they only get subscribers for the cricket, otherwise they would be struggling.
also indus tv and indus music is launching soon, so is hum tv and ptv global. its good for the viewers but if you look at it from a business point they will struggle.
zee network has the most subscribers in uk and europe, which of most subsrcibers are pakistani's.
