Lamha was great. How guilt can change your life. By the way slap that Marina got from Yasirs mom looked real. WHAM... for moment I was like whooo thats sounds and looks so real.
Sania had nothing to do in this one apart from a phone call. Humayun Saeed's part wasnt big either. Marina really did justice to her role, she acted very well and so did Nadia Jamil. Yasir too didnt have a big part, all he had to do was lay down and say his lines which he did very nicely. All in all a good one again.

OMG, 81 replies to a Pakistani drama thread. Wow, looks like our Pakistani audience has finally began appreciating Pakistani art.
Anway, it's superb. My favorite episode is Dabbu and then Shinkhat and 3rd one is Lamha.

nope, no one would do that in real. If something like happens to some one's son or brother in real, they won't just slap the person, they would do more than that :p
What do guys think about tonight episode? I forgot the name of the episode, but the one where Nadia Jamil is a servent and Sania Saeed helps her out and stuff and at the end, Nadia is called a theif. I thought this episode was pretty good, although I didn't quiet understand it that well since I missed some parts of it.

I missed it unfortunatley......but my family watched it.....from what i have heared i think nadia played the role well as a servant
I have only seen one episode of this serial...the one this week. Is there any particular reason why they kept repeating everything they would say in Urdu in English? It was highly annoying!
good episode but not at the calibur of Lamha or Shinakht. But I really liked the way director attacked the lack of orignality in the films. Upon asking Rehmat if her village looks like the one in the song “sohn vanjli di mithri taan way” she’s like yeah looks some what like it but people don’t dress up like this nor do girls and boys are this close to each other.
GOD DAMNT IT. 9 years of marriage, 2 kids and this is how he repays her. Such an excellent story and Mahreen hit the nail on the head with the final note of the actuall people's whereabouts and little description of their lives.
Performence wise, all hands down to Sania. I really can't think of any other actor besides her doing this role. Maya's (belonging to Bangali family I believe) story isn't something very unusuall in our society. But the treatment that was given is what's commendable. These are the horrific incidents of arranged marriages and worse, arranged during childhood that ruin lives of people.

Well said. The story was explained beautifully. I mean 9 years is a loooonng time, and add tow kids to that. But you have to look at this from the other womens point of view too, Claire I think her name was. She married him first, she also has a kid. Just goes to explain how one persons mistakes can effect so many people. Sania dies, kids hate their father, the first daughter barley knows the father, the first wife gets to spend very little time with her husband as he mentioned he visited them once a year.
yeah but it wasn't about which women had more right. Ahmed shouldn't have talked about divorse. I mean, ok tell her that you were married before but divorse? why? he had spent 9 years with her, just spend the freakin' whole life it wasn't like she wanted him to be her's all the time. She said you could bring Claire's child and even her, you keep visiting them but he still acted like a jerk.
We were talking about it during the episode and everyone was like it's drama so they have to make character intruguing other wise in real life Ahmed might have though other wise. But at the end when the work was sited to the actuall incident everyone was like, god damn it.
It was a really good episode and the direction by Mahreen and acting by Sania was the best thing. Also, this episode was written by Nasreen Rehman, not Muahmmad Ahmed, who has wrote all the previous episodes of Kahaniyaan.
