Their is some interesting developments going on Pakistan, President Zardari appointed Lahore High Court judges to supreme court, but they refuse to accept the decision.

Now the news is Chief Justice Iftikhar created a emergency 7 member panel to fire off the government… looks like.

and the dogs are watching when they have the chance to take over the government !

Pakistan is again moving towards crisis, President Zardari has rubbished the appointments made by CJ Supreme Court. Justice Khwaja Sharif and Saqib Nisar have refused to join their new duties. CJ is reaching SC soon, to decide this matter!

the government is busy in minting money by increasing utility bills over and over and through the various scandals, they dont have any time for the general public as such...

last time it was Musharaf who did it, right now he ( musharaf) is hidding in his condo in London... what is Zardari upto...

The problem with PPP is that they want license to do looting and corruption, luckily, the supreme court of Pakistan has refused to issue such licenses anymore, this is what have hurt the ego of our Jageerdar-mind President and PM....

Great Going SC, keep it up, take them down...

Pakistan is lucky that atleast somebody is following the rule of law...

i wonder what PPP supporters might say now, maybe something like this.. these judges are not allowing us for any corruption, we need to teach them a lesson, they are risk to democratically elected govt, they are risk to our govt ( by taking action against their ill-doings)

President's notification is according to law.
Seniority of the judges is constitutional.
It is according to the Jahad case famous decision

Now CJ has problem with the appointment of judges even if its as per SJ ruling in 90s. CJ just want his KEY MEN holding Chief of high-court positions. Can someone ask CJ why he want to SUPER SEED the senior judge? why is he SO interested in keeping Khowaja in high court as chief? (we all know why Govt want him NOT there)

Babar Awan.. facing allegation of getting Rs 3.5 crore in Punjab Bank case
Latif Khosa.. facing corruption charges, fired as Attorney General
and one an only.. Zardari

Now, Saqib Nisar has refused to accept the orders... so did the CJ of LHC.. what the hell is wrong with Zardari?? can he not figure out what impact his orders will make... he is the man who can drive us to the total disaster.. atleast that is what he have proven in last 2 years...

What do think... can they do anything right and in favor of Pakistan... their landlord ego has been damaged... they are seeking revenge.. remember, restoring CJ was not PPP's decision, they were forced to do it, they never liked decision on NRO and was turning right and left.. and now they have responded... This is something what MUSH did.. see he is now your country mate

Its funny how almost all the lawyers who were "SO RIGHT" in lawyers movement for freedom of judiciary all of a sudden they ALL BECAME WRONG but only CJ IS RIGHT :)

you name it ... Kurd, Eitazaz, Munir and many others..

Personally I think CJ should have a say in the appointment of judges BUT when you poke your nose in other matters (who should be NAAB's chairman, who should be FIA's head and who should not lead which institution), then you cant expect other party to NOT hit back.

Are judges a political party.
What a need to do this all. They could go to court in day on monday.
There was no emergency declared.
Ali Ahmed Kurd said that the seniority was preset issue.
Notification is on the right way.

whatever the intentions of Govt were (which I am sure were not right), appointment of senior most judge should be the way to go. You (read CJ) cant pick and choose who to appoint to SC and who not to.

Justice (r) Fakhruddin Ebrahim says that the govt is right as well. seems like many folks with stellar reputations are siding with the govt's decision too.
