Absolutely deplorable behaviour by PPP supporters against the former CM of Sindh and other opposition party supporters in the Sindh assembly today. Good to see the President and Prime Minister together in demanding an inquiry into this truly shameful incident, which has marred the continuation of the democratic process.
ISLAMABAD: President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minster Yousuf Raza Gilani expressed deep grief over the manhandling of former Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim at Sindh Assembly premises.
According to a press release issued from Governor House, both the president and Premier phoned Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad and expressed grief over Sindh Assembly event.
Pervez Musharraf and Yousuf Raza Gilani termed the occurrence against all the democratic values and ordered immediate inquiry into it.
Re: President & PM order inquiry into PPP supporters rampage in Sindh Assembly
I wonder why the president refused an inquiry into 12 may incident yet he is ashamed of this incident. Is it because that incident was carried out on his behest?
Re: President & PM order inquiry into PPP supporters rampage in Sindh Assembly
Even women parliamentarians were abused by PPP thugs. Good to see the authorities move fast on the orders of the President and PM Gillani.

You need a 'masala' news to play trumpet. Isn't it. When same CM was insulted many times by MQM goons by not obeying his orders, (replacing head of PSC sindh, and your Governor turned it down) you were perhaps closing your eyes and ears. On one hand you make so much noise on this stupid incident, on the other you close your eyes in more serious incident of killing of 50 innocent persons. What kind of people are your?:(

Such thuggish behavior towards even the women parliamentarians. Is nothing sacred in Pakistan now. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
I guess not, we saw that earlier in nov 07 when the police forces who were following Mushy's orders ended up beating Imran Khan's sisters and other PTI female workers.

Indeed. But usually they say that it is losers who are Sore, but the PPP actually won the elections (albeit with only a small majority in Sindh). So why are the PPP supporters such Sore winners?

Just imagine what would the PPP supporters would have done had they not had the majority in the Sindh Assembly. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Re: President & PM order inquiry into PPP supporters rampage in Sindh Assembly
PM should withdraw his order of inquiry as it is shear wastage of public money.
Prime Minister Gillani should be applauded for orderding a swift enquiry into this dastardly attack by PPP supporters who are bringing shame to the party. The Prime Minister is a forward looking individual who I believe wants to further democracy through legitimate and peaceful means, with respect for the opposition. I am greatly impressed by this action of his, and of other PPP leaders who are joining in the condemnation of the actions of their supporters.

Most possibly they would have gone on a looting, burning and murdering spree like they did across Sindh after BB's death, when they killed some 60 people.
