DUBAI (Agencies) - President General Pervez Musharraf has warned that Israel will have to face serious consequences if it launched any pre-emptive strike on the nuclear installations of Iran. Pakistan is winning war against terrorism and the Al-Qaeda network will soon be completely eliminated, he was quoted as saying in an interview with a London-based Arabic newspaper. ‘Neither Israel is a policeman of the world nor has the right to attack Iran or Iranian nuclear installations,’ he said and added ‘I am against pre-emptive strike against any country.’ He further said that Israel is violating World Order and if it launched attack on Iran, it must be ready to face the music. The President also advised Iran to soften its tough stance, which is creating problems for it. He said Iran’s nuclear crisis is very serious.
The international community should come forward and play its due role in finding a solution to this crisis, he stated, adding that it is up to Iran to halt its uranium enrichment programme. Responding to a question, he said that Pakistan would not send its troops to Iraq under the command of others, adding ‘we are ready to send our army along with other Muslim countries’ troops.’ To another question about the on-going war on global terrorism, he said: ‘Pakistan is winning war against it and I believe that we will soon succeed in eliminating the Al-Qaeda network.’
Musharraf said that democratic process in Pakistan is on its course, parliamentary institutions are strong and these is a rule of the people and not of an individual. He said he has still not taken decision on whether or not to quit the post of the Chief of Army Staff.

This from the same guy who recently was talking about recognising Israel, and who according to reports was letting US/UK commandos use Pak as a training ground for an attack on Iran nukes, in 'revenge' for Iran telling IAEA about its contacts with AQ Khan.
Mush is two faced like any politician,no different.
As for 'deciding' whether to leave as COAS, he already broke his promise on this, so he should stop treating Pakistanis as fools, even i f he can use his soldiers to force his rule on us,for now.

He only said that we should discuss recognizing Israel, IF and and WHEN it allows Palestinian people their national rights. The reports about the commandos are just that reports, which can be written by any biased party to come between both countries. Has anything come of them? No. After all he has ignored the US opposition to the pipleline from Iran, and refused point blank to send troops to Iraq, even though all those “reports” for the last two years have said he would. So you should know better than believing any such baseless “reports”, even if they fit in with your anti-Musharraf agenda, and see what is actually happening.

he is doing as much as much he could , for muslims , for pakisanies

you think Israel cares about what a guy like Musharraf says about them? they don’t care about what anybody says - and I mean countries of stature and their leaders - not just non-factors like Pakistan/Musharraf.

no…a leader or his authority has to be respected in order for his opinion to be taken into consideration. Israel will laugh at these statements.

Israel does very much care about statements coming from Pakistan and it’s leaders, because we are the world’s only Islamic nuclear power (which they could not stop, despite all their machinations over the years), and because they desperately covet the idea of recognition by us. Further Israel’s leaders have often commented on Pakistan in this regard. But reading your jealous and hate-filled posts against Pakistan, makes it even more satisfying. Carry on you envious Hindu, you are such entertainment.
