Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

Zlatan banned for 3 matches and Totti for 5

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

^ I saw the Zlatan replay and he was rightly banned. Didnt get to se Totti one.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

Chelsea officially won the premiership after beating Bolton 2-0. They have won a top flight league title after a gap of 50 years. Beofre the start of the campaign, Maurinho said that league title will be decided two weeks before time and he did it even better, it is decided three weeks earlier.

Barcelona have all but won La Liga. Serie A is not decided by any means as both Milan and Juve are seperated by goal difference. Race for champions league spots are extremely tight everywhere; in serie A, La Liga and premiership.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

furthermore in SerieA, two teams tied on points play a two-leg play off. Goal difference in the league doesn't count at all!

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

^ Yeah . I heard it in some football program on espn. That should be nail biting. But IMO match on may 8th will determine the eventual winner.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

Milan trailing Fiorentina 1-0 at the moment

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

btw today again, Chelsea's goals came when they intercepted the ball and lightening fast turned over the attack mode and caught the opposite defense off-guard

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

two sheva goals and milan are leading 1-2

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

Juventus beat Milan 0-1. The Bianconeri won thanks to a goal by David Trezeguet and set a major step towards Lo Scudetto. With only three matches to go, the gap is three points.

If Barcelona lose at Valencia today both the SerieA and Primera Division will be equally poised, with three points between the contenders with three matches to go :D

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

^ So Juve are the most likely winners of SerieA.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

I hope Valencia surprises Barca today. That soulc be very interesting finale to the season.

And oh by the way, Arsenal beat Liverpool and Everton will finish at fourth place no matter waht the results are in remaining games. It will be really interesting what Uefa do in case Liverpool win CL and finish fifth. They have said they wont allow five english teams but IMO they should because Everton will go out in qualifiers anyway.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

^ according to the current fifa current ruling, even if liverpool were to win the champions league they wouldn't be allowed to defend their crown the following year, as arsenal beat them today and their neighbours everton have enough points to claim the all important and final 4th qualfying spot, with 1 game remaining the premiership. it's a weird rule but liverpool just haven't raised their game in the premiership like they have managed to do in the CL, so they r going to have to pay for their mistakes.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

^ I have no sympathesies for Liverpool premiership play because they have been abysmal away from home. But I think they deserve to be granted qualifiers alongwith Everton. Everton is not gonna get past it most probably but Liverpool will.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

well, a world class team should be able to compete at two fronts, and it's their own mistake that Liverpool failed to qualify for Europe

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

if fifa start being lenient with england and allow 5 teams through instead of the normal 4 then, other countries like spain, italy etc can protest 2 as that would be harsh on them. but yes as we know liverpool haven't flourished this season in the premiership.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

whoa no words here about bergkamp's destruction of everton?

bergkamp mite just have earned himself a 1 year extension. anything above that would be a risk @ his age

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

very sad say for man united and english football in general. Malcome ****ing glazer has jus bought over 60% of the club.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

well chelsea seems to be enjoying its rich dude owner.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

That was amazing. He shoed his class yesterday. and LUC is right, he might have earned himself an year.
