Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

you havent got a clue have u.

This bloody yank leprechaun jewish money grabbing ‘dude’ is no way near as rich as chelseas abramovich.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

^ no I have no clues, cllues are for people who dont know the finale :)

He may not have the kind of money abby does..but the point that you missed was that cash injection to any team can be a boon if handled properly.

But a real stupid move on the part of Man U. Now if only somoene can stop ferguson from whinging and crying like a little byatch everytime he loses.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

he is good, i dont think I have seen anyone playing that well at his age recently. I mean shearer is up there as well too but he is still younger.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

Live by the share price, die by the share price.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

Depends how far back you go. Zola had a great last season for Chelsea in 2002-2003 when he was 36. He wanted to play for another year but Bates wouldn’t give him a new contract.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

lol a debt of $340 million owed 2 banks is a ‘cash injection’? lol i see.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

i think Paolo Maldini has played equally well or even better at an even older age :–)

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

And do you know how much debt major corporations carry, especially when they go for acquisitions, you think they take funds out of working capital or just liquidate their assets? Debt is an instrument of financing.

lol, you see jack

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

I shouldhave been more specific. I am not talking about an overall play level where no one can take anythign from maldini who in my book is one of the all time greats, but the specific type of performance that bergkamp delivered in this particular match where he was the basic cause of the total destruction of the rival team. I have thought hard but can not recall Maldini being the focal point of such a ass kicking of another side.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

Maldini has started committing mistakes recently but defenders of his class are rare and that is why he is still playing.

BTW Barcelona wrapped up L Liga title yesterday. Now the main focus is on who gets the remaining two champions league places. I am rooting for Valencia and Villareal. But it is really tight between Betis, Espanyol and these two.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

coming back to Maldini, some bone typing research found out that although his calender age was 36+ his biological age was still of someone around 29 years of age. That explains his fitness and stability.

Yeah and yesterday Juve all but won the Scudetto after Milan were held at 2-2 at Lecce.
Del Piero seems to have found some good form for Juve in the last couple of matches :k:

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

2 matches left Juve have got 5 pts lead over Milan so if Milan wins both and Juve loose both so Milan can hold the schudetto but it seems impossible.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

In trying to save players for the CL final, Milan conceded the Scudetto today to Juventus: the drew 3-3 against Palermo with a second string team.

Juventus have won the SerieA :k:

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

Well done Juve :k: They lost some form in the middle of the season that allowed Milan to catch up with them but eventually they won a deserving title.

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

Forlan pipped Etoo by scoring twice on sunday to win pichichi award. :k: and ManU let him go tsk tsk. Henry and Forlan share golden boot award for this season. Awesome!!

Nex year Champions League qualification spots:

La Liga: Villareal, Real Betis. (both will be playing for the first time I believe, correct me If i am wrong)
Serie A: Inter, Udinese (First ever)
Premiership: ManU, Everton

Re: Premiership, Serie A and La Liga 04/05

Juve 28 championship titles in 100 years - pretty good percentage.
