Re: Pregnant lady comes to U.S only to have her child born here?
I'm really surprised that they allowed her on the plane in the first place, and that immigration allowed her in once she arrived. I tried to fly back to UK at 6 1/2 months, and wasn't allowed on the plane without a doctor's note. I also took a doctor's note with me indicating that I would be delivering in the US, and gave it to immigration along with my return ticket. They were still a bit funny about allowing me in. Granted, it was my third, and I was the size of a house.
I am really not a big fan of people doing this, but as long as she is paying her own medical bills then who am I to say anything? I have known of too many desis skipping out on the medical bills, though.
By the way, a child has to be 21 to sponsor their parents, not 18.
Not to insult the Canadians, but you guys need a better screening process. Mississauga is starting to resemble Bradford in some places :)

and you have problem with that? mississauga is not you baap dada ki jageer. rules n laws apply to all and those who satisfy them are allowed to come to canada. they are in a free country and can live anywhere be it in mississauga or vancouver. as for screening process, well you americans/britians need it more than the canadians. don't forget july incident in uk and americans shouldn't forget 911. that didn't happen in canada. ajatay hain moun utha ke duniya ko naseehatain karnay. first get ur own house in shape/order then think about others.

I thought the same thing. He told me that his wife wasn't showing much wrapped inside a big shawl.
