I have watched that a few times now, but sorry I don’t see anything anti-Mohajir in Zulfikar Mirza’s speech. It’s provactive towards Altaf Hussain and ex-Governor Ishrat ul Abad, and those who raise “Mohajir province” slogans - that’s it. At the end of his speech he appeals to all people of Karachi and all Sindh to work together for Pakistan. What’s wrong with that?
Recently Nawaz Sharif supposedly made a provocative speech against President Zardari whilst campaigning in Kashmir. President Zardari replied in kind by blasting Nawaz as a ‘Maulvi’ and such. There was no violent reactions or mass shutdowns of cities /strikes by either PPP or PML N supporters.
After 25 years in politics MQM (Altaf) is the only party in Pakistan (apart from the Taliban) that replies with violence and intimdation amongst other terror tactics against it’s political opponents, all the time misleading a large section of the Urdu-speaking people.

yes, that is what i want to say that he is not against.
Mirza is an unprecedented political liability for PPP, maybe a few notches less than the co-chairman himself. His remarks, especially against Urdu speaking people, were totally absurd and uncalled-for, to say the least. Even to attack a political party or personality, he should have opted for a better combination of words.
On MQM’s part, I understand that Altaf Hussein should appeal for peace and calm his workers down. It would be a better strategical retaliation than setting the city ablaze.
I also believe that still there won’t be any action against Mirza. Or maybe he would be ‘demoted’ as the Most Senior Minister, instead of just Senior Minister. Don’t you guys know Zardari? :knock:
Its so typical to see the standard anti MQM response, its always their fault. Mirza insults a community, and there is nothing wrong with that. May be Mirza had to much bhang to smoke.

And you see nothing wrong with MQM killing innocents yet again.
You see nothing wrong in Altaf Hussain calling the creation of Pakistan the biggest mistake in history.
This is why so many people are hoping for an operation against you MQM killers.
first of all your title is quite misleading … i watched the entire video … and i just fail to understand where did you see that he is speaking against urdu speaking ppl??? all he did was spoke against your so called mqm leader!!! and tell you what he did the right thing … if in Karachi anyone has guts to speak against altaf … thn its ONLY Zulfiqar mirza!!! he cares abt sindh and Karachi situation not your leader!!! who just loves to do target killing!! his fav spare time job!! and i really pray that he dies a very very very painful death!!! may he rots in hell!!!
well khoji said he was mocking urdu speaking ppl .. but in that video he just spoke against altaf!!!and he asked ppl to come together, get united and get rid of verey kind of garbage from karachi!!
well here is wht he said:According to a statement issued here on Thursday by his spokesperson, Mr Mirza said that he issued the comments in his personal capacity and offered his apologies in this regard.
Mr Mirza said that all the Urdu-speaking people would remain their brothers.
“After partition we welcomed our Urdu-speaking brothers in the province and we would continue to live like brothers in future as well,” he maintained.
It is the endeavour of our leadership that we should maintain unity and live peacefully as a family and thwart all conspiracies of the enemies working against integrity of the country, he said.
and tht clearly shows who is behind all these target killings ... he says something and 15 ppl get killed in Karachi!! ... wow now who is a threat to Karachi peace??
I am not here to pick everyone fingure and guide the way, you guys almost seems to be AQALMAD to me so better use the brain rather than heart which is full with hate to party and that party claim almost 90% votes in karahi, if these things goes like this which Zulfi said in his nobel speech( better watch the video) the days not so far when peoples realy come out on street and this time not for a strike but...... we didnt learn nothing from past mistakes and still blaming bengalies and indians for fall of Dhaka, Karachi situation is still better than Baluchistan but how long more we could stay on this, better to start think like a real pakistani.
^ Mirza should learn usage of correct words. Nothing was wrong with his point of view, but he used wrong words. If he had used ' Luttay Puttay' instead of 'Bhooke Nange' in his speach then there wouldn't have been any thing in his speech which hurt Muhajir ppl.
Kiya iss main kisi ko inkaar hai ke uss waqt ke Karachi ke bashindon ne India se aae muhajireen ko sahara diya tha. Many ppl would agree ke 'Uss waqt ke maqami (Sindhi / Balochi) logon ne muhajireen ki madad karke Ansaar e Madina ki yaad taza ki thi'.
We should also consider the context of the speech. It was his reaction against wall chalking in city for separate Sooba. I again reiterate, MQM should come up with a clear statement on the issue of Karachi Sooba at its earliest to avoid any further confrontation.

I think his language was offensive, but he has now apologized. Its time to move on. Lets not go back to 1947, and what happened then.
I spoke to someone in Edgeware, and said they need to clarify the issue of the wall chalking. He said that a statement will be coming soon. I asked him point blank about MQM policy, and he made it clear it was not their policy to create a separate province. But the deaths are indeed tragic.

Thanks, I think that will be a positive step by MQM to remove misunderstanding! God Bless You Dear!
Interestingly, when a leader curses urdu-speaking community, the whole community comes out against him. However, when Bramdagh bugti says live on a tv channel that every punjabi should be killed, these same people say "Oh please, oh comeon, lets liberate balochs and give them rights..........hai Allah balochon ke rights pamaal huwe hain"..................shameless doubel standards...... if what zulfiqar mirza is saying is wrong then so are the racist comments against punjabis by bugtis.
Not sure what he said, but something needs to be done about this Mirza, as in not by doing something unlawful . Its time to calm tensions. I will say to the Sindhis, we have to share this province. That means tolerating each other. Lets calm things down. And for the Punjabi nationalist who fails to tolerate the presence of the MQM, wake up and smell the coffee. The MQM represent the majority, not everyone, but majority of Urdu speaking opinion.
Where do punjabis come into this mirza versus MQM trouble.
