why dont hear it from horse's mouth - talk to a resident of these affected areas and they will tell you the truth .... why rangers/police didn't show up for more then 3 hours once the killing started ... and it all was engineered and happened in the ' chaTaR chaya ' of this PPP government ...

Very true! We all have to raise voice against this ignoring any ethnic and political affiliation. Agar aaj koi suffer kar raha hai to ye khamoshi kal sab ke ooper azaab la sakti hai, bcoz we all are the stakeholders.

Every book of Pakistan studies published in Pakistan describe muhajireen of 1947 in words like , lute pute, bey sar o saman, bhookey piyase. And its nothing to be ashamed of. What is shameful is the racism and fascism of a section of this society who have benefitted from Pakistan and are now working against its interest and its people.

Thanks to their intelligence, education and hard work it was possible and is a lesson to all Pakistanis especially those jaagirdar waderays. Lets hope those bhookay nangays that ran from FATA and NWFP can learn a lesson, or those bhookay nangays that escaped the floods in interior Sindh.
So remember kids education is important. Had the muhajirs been illiterate gun loving creatures who were slaves for the British then there would be a different outcome.

Maybe my comment was otp. But if you look at the threads at Pakistan Affairs, almost all have MQM this or MQM that. And each creates at least a 100 odd posts about Muhajir this or Muhajir that. Sacheydino, DD, Mo, Muqaweel then on queue come up with their racist comments. All I will say is every action will have an opposite reaction. 15 people were killed, and every is condemning it. If MQM misbehaves, and there are many cases of them misbehaving, why do we use this as an excuse dismiss the very genuine grievances of the Urdu speaking community. And if thats pointed out you are accused of being an Indian agent. Deal with the grievances, this is for the likes of DD, Sacheydino and Diwana. I'm not going to bother reasoning with the Jihadis like Mo and his lot.

Show me a single post where I passed racist remarks about Muhajirs! It may be against holy party MQM and their saint leaders having immunity for everything they do and say. I love Urdu speaking (Muhajir) ppls bcoz most of my friends are Muhajirs. I love Urdu, its literature, but at the same time I don't want any body to come and deny contributions of our elders or say something against our culture to prove their superiority. Thats all I said in my posts.
I don't think that anyone in this thread had passed racist remarks for Urdu speaking ppl, they certainly condemned AH / MQM, that cannot be equalised as all Muhajir / Urdu speaking community.

I think Urdu Speaking ppl don't need a party like MQM to raise their voices. MQM uses Muhajir / Urdu speaking card, but majority of Urdu speaking ppl disapprove MQM and their policies.
Getting majority of seats from Urdu speaking areas does not imply MQM represents all Urdu speaking ppl. Same goes true with PPP getting seats from other parts of Sindh. Keep in mind voters turn out ratio, rigging, fake / ghost voters!

This is what I hate Mr Pasha - rather then condemning the actions causing these deaths , you are again trying to find faults in MQM's strategy ... By the way ' Bringing Governor back ' is not a decision , which is highly appraised by MQM' s supportive groups/people ...fault doesnt lie in whole PPP but some of it members are playing evil games compromising the peace of the mega city known as karachi ..

Story starts from making one Unit, What a foolish and dirty decision, Than Shifting capital to Islamabad when EP was with us, Than dissolving one unit without restoring its special status of Karachi,Please spend some time at my thread about new provinces, These all became reason of this all and dirty plays by all our intermediate pass intellectual rulers. Till now play is on, Who uses whom we don't know and there are enimies of Pakistan also attacking with their fullest strength with much weaker Pakistan. I have seen this time once before after fall of Dhaka but than there was some will and some leadership. Now a days we are without any leadership.

If now you are remembering islam, then why call some bhooka, lutera etc in the first place?
Who set up the banks, industries and ran education institutions in karachi? Are you telling me illiterate sindhi farmers did that? After karachi, it was in punjab that there were private businessman. Perhaps, you are telling us that quota system actually didn't help sindhis and bhutto actually turned the industrious sindhis into illiterate dirty mumbai slum dwellers.

Read out history and you will know who started this hate game with locals (who accommodate migrants). Read partition related literature specially dramas of Khwaja Moinudin and you will know that how thankful your forefathers were towards Sindhis and other locals instead of generalising them illiterate. Education and other institutions were properly running in Karachi before partition, which were more than sufficient for locals and if your forefathers developed it, then they did it for their own city and not for proving their superiority over others.
Moral of the story: This country and all its cities are for everyone and everyone has contributed for his /her own homeland, no one feeds anyone. If Sindhi, Balochis, Punjabis, Pathans are getting their bread and butter from Karachi that is only due to their work / efforts and not bcoz anyone providing them free lunches. So avoid degrading others just to prove your superiority. If your are really superior, come up and do something to make this country more prosperous instead of praising past deeds and getting credit for others' contribution.
As far as quota system is concerned, it was introduced by Mr Liaqat Ali Khan to accommodate migrants and its first beneficiaries were also migrants (including those who migrated after getting an assurance from their relatives here in Pakistan that they will have jobs based on newly introduced quota system)
