ISLAMABAD: The ruling party has planned heavy recruitment in public sector corporations and government departments before the elections.
The sources in the party said PPP has prepared a comprehensive strategy for gaining ground which has been lost due to bad governance. Besides other programmes in media and economic fields, the party will not only fill the vacant posts but it will also create new space in the administrative set up to accommodate maximum numbers of people including party workers and sympathisers.
On assuming power, the PPP brought back thousands of all those employees which were recruited by it during its previous rule. The services of these employees were terminated by PML (N) and Musharraf governments by declaring the process of recruitment illegal. All such employees were re-inducted with full benefits.
The public sector government corporations are already on the verge of collapse including PIA, Pakistan Railways and Pakistan Steel Mills which were stuffed by the ruling party without observing merit.
The party sources said it is the duty of the government to provide jobs to the jobless and it is easy way to accommodate maximum numbers of people including estranged party workers who will be helpful in mustering support during elections.

With no performance to show for, this is what PPP has always resorted to, draining public funds, and diverting them to their pockets/jiyalas. Benazir did the same tamasha back in 1995, and Zardari delivered a killer blow to these public organizations by restoring those non-employees after 12 years, with back pay. Point to note is that a 50 billion rupee loan was taken out from ADB for economic development, and that money was used to pay all these back salaries, and renewed salaries. Sad state of affairs of the country.

Why every action of the government which favors masses creates so much pain you know where on this website. I know that this site is now only for promotion of IK and his loti pti ignoring other parties. This site has become anti-Pakistani government site at the moment. I don't object your criticism on government, but keep in mind any good work including employment would only benefit the unemployed people of Pakistan whether they are supporters of government or not. Your out of proportion comments just show the mentality of viscous circle.
Coming back to your sh!ty article, do you think Mush and N$ were honest who employed all people on merit? Take example of Mush's imported PM Shortcut Aziz, do you think the selection of PM who was not even Pakistani was better than what PPP past government had employed poor people? You know that Mush also came from back door kicking out the maha haram khor and corrupt N$ who thought Pakistan "us ke baap ki jaagir hay", the irregularities committed by them were equivalent to raping of Pakistan. You guys need such kind of rulers who are good at screwing the country and poor people of Pakistan. How do you know that the appointments made by past PPP government were irregular? Even they were irregular, gave employment to people. These people should not have been unemployed by bagorha qatil Mush or haram khor N$.

I was watching couple of talkshows today on tax evading and almost ALL politicians ganged up against Umar Cheema (who published this story). All had same problem, why are we targetted and not others, hardly anyone could defend themselves.

But of course this is not the way — neither this is a way that you embark upon a hiring spree without a proper business plan.

It is equivalent to putting the whole unemployed workforce on Benazir Income Support Programme. There are some basic economic principles which should not be disregarded for the sake of momentary political gains.

Governments of the world always come to rescue with unemployment problems, though private entities also play important role. Government is the major recruiter of people particularly when organizations like Army, public corporations, federal and provincial government civil cervices, etc are concerned.
