People seem to forget that BB has been wanting a a deal with Musharraf for many years - ever since 2002 in fact, and only since end of last year has it gained actual momentum. It is BB that has been more desperate for a deal than Musharraf, because she realises that all those years she has been out of the country (she left way before before Musharraf came to power) her party is drifting away from the Bhutto fantasy. The party has been out of power for 11 years, and she out of Pakistan for more than 8, in which the organizational structure has decayed and local power centres have emerged. She is desperate to get back to Pakistan and take charge to save the party from being taken over by rivals, and from having a poor show in the elections. Plus she needs the govt to ease up on the Swiss court case, which if convicted in would finish her off - domestically and internationally. Hence No Nawaz or some rally happy Chief Justice is going to get in the way of her making a deal with the General-President, who still holds all the cards.
