Loads of fun, a bit long and essentially designed as a build up to part 3..all in all 8/10 I still love part 1 to bits so it loses out because of that..

Unnecessarily long with some pointless sequences, but entertaining nonetheless. Not particularly complex or well-developed, but the problem was the writing; acting and cinematography were great.

Excellent entertainment! Johny Depp was brilliant, Orlando Bloom once again failed to inspire (despite of being a good actor). He must not do any adventure or historic movie. He can't deliver the dialouge as required in these types of flicks.
The female lead is very beautiful, in an innocent way.

It was wayyyyy toooo long... plus it got too creepy at points...
The adventure and all was exciting but they just need to keep it to the point. I didn't like it all that much, may b cuz we had to wait 4 hours to finally see the movie and the expectations just kept growing.

good it was longggggg, Movie these days are too short.
And it had to be long so it can build up for the third one.
plus those fight scenese and cinematography were awesome!

the sword-fighting on that wheel thing for like 30 minutes was pretty gratuitous.

oooo I just got back from the theater like an hour ago…I thought the second one was 10 times better than the first…
and I’m in love with Johnny Depp all over again. 
Definately the best movie I’ve seen all summer

i didn't think that was a futile filler, i mean they worked hard to pull that stunt off, and i think it provided a lil humour to the tension of that moment hehe :p
it wasn't boring to watch that filler tho, like some movies when they just put stupid stuff, which gets you bored fast!

yea i dint’ believe it was 2 hrs…i din’t even feel it..it went by so quickly. i found it very entertaining and funny. i liked the flying dutch and his crew, that was pretty sweet 
i like johny depp, love his performance…he goes with the character in all his movies. i liked the choco factory movie also…
n yea i don’t like elizabeth either

I agree with this completely. The movie was very entertaining, but some scenes dragged on unnecessarily. I loved the wheel scene the best and when Captain Jack was tied up and running away. 
I am a huge fan of seafood … as well as life under the sea. I enjoy snorkelling … but I have been put off for quite a while. Those baddies were really gross. 
Johnny Depp is such an unappreciated actor. He deserves a lot of awards. Orlando Bloom also did a good job. Kiera Knightly was down played in this part … hopefully she will have more of a role in the finale.

The movie was very entertaining though. I think I like the first one better just bcoz Capt Jack talked a bit more in that one than this one. Actually ppl just dint do alot of talking in this one.
The third one should be awesome though. Anybody know when its coming out?

They made part 2 and 3 together last year. 3rd one will be out in May of 2007.

ooo loved the movie, i must admit they did kinda dragged the movie. Cant wait for the next one, so looking forward to Jack's enterance (He always enters in an embarassing classy way) :D
i so knew that antagonist from the first part is gonna reappear in this movie.
Jack was offcourse brilliant.
So um what do u guys think made him come back, the black Pearl or the girl. (U know when he took off on a boat, leaving everyone else and opens his compass. Remember that lady told him, it leads u to what u most want.) I m guessing its the girl that made him come back to the ship and in the last movie they are surely gonna be a one to one battle b/w johnny depp and orlando.
