Surah Al-Hashr (The Gathering)

Re: Post your favorite Ayats

^JazakAllah Khair.

Very difficult to deicide a clear favorite to share, however I have chosen the following two KEY verses from Sura Al Maeda;

[5:55] Only Allah is your Vali and His Messenger and those who believe, those who keep up prayers and pay the poor-rate while they bow.

[5:56] And whoever takes Allah and His messenger and those who believe for a guardian, then surely the party of Allah are they that shall be triumphant.

Re: Post your favorite Ayats

**Surah Fatiha :)

(5) Show us the straight path, (6) The path of those whom Thou hast favoured. Not (the path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray. (7)

**surah Rehman,,,

]Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? -

Re: Post your favorite Ayats

Therefore remember Me, I will remember you. Give thanks to Me, and reject not Me. [2:152]

And ye have no good thing but is from Allah: and moreover, when ye are touched by distress, unto Him ye cry with groans;
(16:53)

Allah does not impose upon any soul a duty but to the extent of its ability; for it is (the benefit of) what it has earned and upon it (the evil of) what it has wrought: Our Lord! do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake; Our Lord! do not lay on us a burden as Thou didst lay on those before us, Our Lord do not impose upon us that which we have not the strength to bear; and pardon us and grant us protection and have mercy on us, Thou art our Patron, so help us against the unbelieving people.[2:286]

Here is my choice,

39:36) Is not Allah sufficient for His servant?

2:257) Allah is the friend of those who believe: He brings them out of every kind of darkness into light. And those who disbelieve, their friends are the transgressors who bring them out of light into every kind of darkness.

17:81) And say, ‘Truth has come and falsehood has vanished away. Falsehood does indeed vanish away

I will try to add a few more later.

There's a hadith from one of the Shia Imam's that goes along with an ayat. Sunni or Shia, they both have a good lesson.

“There is no man who does not have a white spot in his heart. When he commits a sin a black spot emerges from this spot. If he repents, the blackness goes away but if he sinks in sin and continues to sin the blackness keeps on increasing till it surrounds the whiteness of the heart completely. When the white spot is totally covered by the blackness, the owner of this heart will never revert towards goodness."

This tradition is in consonance with the utterance of Allah:

“By no means! But on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do.” (83:14)

Quran 39:53

its meaning is so beautiful that i havent yet found any translation that does justice to it…

Re: Post your favorite Ayats

Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 286

On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."
