Whatever good visits thee, it is from God; whatever evil visits thee is of thyself.

2. Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds;

3. Most Gracious, Most Merciful;

4. Master of the Day of Judgment.

5. Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek.

6. Show us the straight way,

7. The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.

Aameen.

Re: Post your favorite Ayats

jazak ALLAH everyone :)

sorry to say but this thread i think is blahhhh .. which ayat is your fav :smack: oh comeon .. who are we to give presidence to one ayat over another .. the whole quraan should be every muslims favourite ..

Re: Post your favorite Ayats

^there are some ayats which upon reading, they touch your heart(am not saying others dont). but these ayahs they either fill you with happiness, peace, pride, fear or humility more than any other.
when one says this ones my favorite it simply means that a certain ayat has touched his/her heart to quite an extent like no other, it does not mean that the rest of the verses mean nothing.....i heard this somehwere- 'kisi ek ki tarif karne ka ye matlab nai ke dusre ki burai ho rahi he'

yes we are no one to say that one ayah is 'better' than the other(which no one has said so so far Alhamdulillah), but we can say that certain ayats sound beautiful to our ears,hearts etc....AllahuAlam

:jazak:

Re: Post your favorite Ayats

Surah Zamar

**49. **When harm touches man, he calls to Us (for help), then when We have (rescued him from that harm and) changed it into a favour from Us, he says: "Only because of knowledge (that I possess) I obtained it." Nay, it is only a trial, but most of them know not!

Re: Post your favorite Ayats

Re: Post your favorite Ayats

[2:75]

Then your hearts became hardened after that, till they were like stones or harder still; for of stones indeed there are some out of which gush forth streams, and of them there are some out of which flows water when they cleave asunder. And indeed, of them there are some that humble themselves for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unmindful of what you do.

Re: Post your favorite Ayats

exactly thats hat i was thinking…the title should be something like “which Ayah touched ur heart the most?” i think that would have been more appropriate..:slight_smile:

Re: Post your favorite Ayats

^ yes, thats right

Re: Post your favorite Ayats

Or pin this as ayah of the day, jsut like hadith of the day..

[24:35] Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth; a likeness of His light is as a niche in which is a lamp, the lamp is in a glass, (and) the glass is as it were a brightly shining star, lit from a blessed olive-tree, neither eastern nor western, the oil whereof almost gives light though fire touch it not-- light upon light-- Allah guides to His light whom He pleases, and Allah sets forth parables for men, and Allah is Cognizant of all things.
