Theres a lot of “how can i look whiter for my wedding” stuff around at the moment, so I was wondering if anyone out there had any pix of darker brides to show they can look good without painting yourself with dulux.

^ See that's the thing. I can find photos have various shades, but there's always someone who will disagree with calling these people "dark." And eventhough I think they look lovely, it may be offensive to use "dark" for them.
Hey I don’t know!!! these brides look quite ‘sawnli’ to me, like most Pakistani girls…I wouldn’t consider them ‘fair’ or white…but I agree with Sahar. There isn’t just one shade of brown. There are many so it’s really hard to define exactly what is ‘dark’.
Yes, she looks nice, but notice she is not a reflective shade of brilliant white gloss emulsion, i.e does not appear caked in white make up. The natural look.
This is what i meant by dark, but I can see that some ppl may b offended by it, bcos to be called dark in pakistan is considered an offensive term!

Yeah, its nice. Has anyone been to a pakistani wedding (there of abroad) where the bride is actually made up quite natural? Some of the overly made up brides dont look so nice close up, but look real good in photos.

I had the "natural" look on my wedding in Pakistan, but I also insisted on using my own everyday foundation and make up.

In comparison to most brides, my look was pretty natural. It was done in Pakistan, and I still looked like myself, only better, and with enough heaviness to match the clothes and jewelry. :D

unfortunetly i was thopped with loads of crappy makeup (eventhough i told her i want it to be NATURAL) she kept saying yes yes it’ll be exactly like that. and refused to let me see it while she was doing it (said i’d love it when i see the end result)
i ended up NOT recognizing myself and thought i looked like a jamadaarni (to which she got offended and said i was insulting her work) 
i didn’t think the foundation matched my skin tone at all but hey, according to her she was the makeup artiste and she knew it better. wicked cow 
khair it’s ok, it was last minute thing anyways..and hopefully (insh’Allah) for the shadi i won’t look so horrendous 
else i will refuse to come out
