the nurse at the hospital gave me one..She told me to wear it once I was home, well it helped me with support to keep everything in place the first few days.. I only wore it for couple of weeks because I was sweating a lot and then my incision scar was infected so I just stopped wearing it.. I didnt notice any difference. It was definitely helpful with support though.

One of my aunts swears by them but none of my sisters have ever tried them.

I think if you have a vaginal delivery and you put it on right away for 6-8 weeks, it may work.
I had a csection so of course i couldnt even think of putting anything on for at least a week after that.. and dont they say c section pooch never goes away?

I will be going in for a c-sec. Last time, my mom’s colleagues brain washed her on so many things including the belt which according to them needed to be 2 sizes smaller 
I made her return it as it was impossible for me to get into that thing.

You know my babycenter birth board had a long discussion on this and another belt… Let me go see if I can find that link. I don’t know anyone personally though.

I used it for weeks after baby and it definitely helped flatten my tummy and provided a lot of support. Loved it! I started using it as soon as I got home from the hospital and would have it on all day. A little uncomfortable at first but got used to it pretty quickly.

I tried out one of those white ones that go around your belly and have velcro things to wrap it. I didn’t like it. It was so uncomfortable and didn’t hold all the flab together. I LOVED the bellefit postpartum belt though! It’s comfy and keeps everything in place. The belly pooch was reduced in a matter of days!

I chose medium and it was a good fit. I guess you just choose depending on your body type? They usually come in the standard sizes.

The women in my friend’s family have maintained slim figures post-birth…and it’s like a tradition in her family to wear the belt. She doesn’t have kids but she really believes in the belt and wearing it soon after birth and at all times.
My mom had worn the belt after I was born, but that was short-lived because she became prego with my brother when I was just a few months old. Perhaps she used the belt after having him, cuz she was pretty slim after having two kids within a short time frame. I will have to ask her.
