Please share some positive stories about guys from Pakistan marrying girls abroad. You know, stories that don’t end in…he jumped ship when he got his green card.

I just know of one story where the guy was imported from Pakistan, married to a girl born and raised in the US. Major adjustment issues. Guy had to struggle in order to find a professional job here. Had a really hard time. Not sure if he ever did. He was an MBA from back home. Girl had an OK job so they needed to live with her parents to save on costs and get by. Guy didn't like being "ghar damaad" and eventually marriage broke down.

Well, it's a competitive market, and then you need super awesome communication skills. Depends on where you've studied from back home I suppose, your exposure to work culture here, etc....

I know many positive stories. My own cousin married a Pakistani guy who was studying in US and mashallah 12 years and 4 kids later its going strong. Also I know another family from California, girl was only sister of 3 brothers, rich family and married a guy from Pakistan who later did PhD from here, they went through struggles but stood at each others side through thick and thin and now doing really well. I can go on and on but the point is not every imported guy or girl is similar.

if the guy was already in the US by his own merit as a student or a professional, i don't think he qualifies as an import.
if you are importing a hubbyji, make sure he has a good job currently wherever he is, and that he can find similar employment in the US. this is not easy usually, because desis in desilands often get jobs via influence and referrals, merit isn't always the basis of employment. all kinds of useless mba degrees are common. bad scene.
or your family is giving him a bijniss in some kind of dowry. gas station/subway/7-11/desi restaurant etc work nicely.

My oldest nand married a guy from Pakistan. She is very happy with him. Unfortunately he was not able to get a job in his field (engineering) but he started his own business and is doing well. She also works and they have 3 kids. He is very kind and respectful. My husband really likes him and always speaks very highly of him.
We have a family friend who married her cousin from Pakistan. They were quite young when they got married. He came here, did his bachelors in engineering, she was also doing her bachelors at the same time. They are both now working in their professional fields, and are very happy and have a child as well.
You will find both positive and negative stories of imported men, just like you will find positive and negative stories of people who married someone locally. It's more about the 2 people and how they compromise and work together to make their marriage and life work.

But seen many examples where it took time bit ppl settled down somehow or the other
And seen many examples locally where guys or girls are unable to find jobs

I know of quite a few examples where the guy came here after being sponsored by wife. A lot of these marriages are successful Mashallah.
The initial stages of ANY marriage are VERY difficult...doesn't matter who you bring from where. It has less to do with what region the person is from and more to do with two different people combining their lives together.
Point is...sometimes people will blame importing but in reality the relationship is simply going through its growing pains.
