Ofcourse this is off the subject but I did not know this before so: if you have to make a phone call from inside the KHI airport and you do not have a cell phone, one has to buy a phone card (Rs 100.00- guys are standing by the phones with cards) and with that you can make may be 3-4 phone calls (total time may be 10 mintutes!!!!). I think thats a big rip off. Paying Rs 200 to a porter is not bad especially while coming back as he helps you pick up the boxes for customs if needed, for strapping & then for the airline counter. Overall I think our experience with customs & immigration people at the airport was quite pleasant. :)
