Porter at Lahore Airport

Can someone advise me how much you should pay to porters at Lahore airport? What’s reasonable amount in rupees?

that depends on that time, how he serves you .... they would ask you too much as they know from which country you are comming from.. :) so becarefull they are not what you think of them.... :) becareful and never ever show them you wallet or your valueables and top of the most passport if you are some other nationality passport holder..

becarefull they just need money thats it, give them reasonable money thast it... but in Paksitani rupees.

I have traveled many times but have never used them, this time I am travelling with family so was jus wondering how much roughly should they be paid?

Flight will be from UK and as such they will be aware of that...On the website they have mentioned Rs 200 for International flight...

In your opinion how much should they be paid roughly??

No its upto you, 200 is nothing ... just pay them 1000 but in parts.. like try to give him 500 then 800 and then finally 1000 ... and do not give them a penny unless they will load your bags into your car.. ok...

have a safe journey.. say Asalam o ALaikum to my country my land my beauftiful and proudful Pakistan.... :'(

people like me, might be Paksitani but we have no right to be Pakistani..

still its my country. darwaze band hain Pakistan ke mere liye :) kaash me bhi jaa sakta :'( apne pyare watan ki hawa aur mutti ki khushboo buhat yaad aati hai :'(

will they be happy with that? Coz even on the website they have stated fixed price of Rs200...

I mean it depends if you have too many luggages then you can give 500 too

I would say it depends on the individual. Splurging for such purposes will be blessed by khuda, IMO

Pinching pennies when dealing with locals by overseas Pakistanis is not cool.

I gave mine 200 rupees on top of the 300 rupees they charged me to get the porter's receipt.

u know they ask in dollars if flight is coming from us/canada. I'd give atleast 500.

Also remember that unfortunately they get hired just on the condition that their officers will get have their "share" as well.. So every penny doesnt go in their pockets
