Porsche drives into Pakistan

They wouldn’t do that, if they didn’t expect a lot of revenue, right?

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

Anything other than a Cayenne may struggle on roads anywhere other than Islamabad :D

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

You will be surprised. Lahore has changed quite a bit now

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

I bet they will charge European rates for repair and maintenence and pay their workers Pakistani wages!

Ofcourse the person in Pakistan who can afford a Porsche is probably a not so average rich person, so why would he/she care how much maintenence is.

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

A porsche being driven in a country anywhere in South Asia is nothing to be proud of. Its an example of piggish selfishness while millions around you live in squalor.

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

^^ why if some one wants to drive porche and have the money??? why he shouldnt buy or have the option for it??

do you think they will spend this money on others???

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

How many Porsches do you think are in Pakistan? I say aroud 100.

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

They might not, but that lack or respect for human life is one of the reason our societies are such failures.

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

Boxster, which is one of the most affordable Porsche, has fairly decent road clearance, so it can be driven without problem. There are in fact, quite a few Porsche’s in Pakistan already, though with official reseller arrangements, they should sell even more.

Another thing is that, based on my discussions with some folks in Karachi and Lahore, there are far too many Merc E-Class that are being driven in Karachi and Lahore, than what one will expect. From a price standpoint, an E-Class and a Boxster are fairly comparable, so thats probably why Porsche decided to dive into the Pak market as well.

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

Porsche is so passe...heapajunk

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

Yeah but E-class is a family car, while Porsche is a “toy”. It is harder to justify spending money on a toy than a family car.

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

Folks not sure if you guys are aware of this but the very same company will be making first sedan from next year, named Panamera (spl?)

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

Bechara Porsche.. pata nahi pakistan ki mitti uska kya haal kar degi..

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

Can I drive a Ferrari in Pakistan... :)

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

^ Ofcourse you can. And you won’t be the first one to drive a Ferrari in Pakistan either. There are quite a few I have seen there. Generally older, though.

Point was not to compete one car against another. It was to say that there are more and more people in Pakistan who have far too much money than to know what to do with it. Porsche has the same challenges in Pakistan as it has in US or Europe. Not everyone in US/Europe can either afford to or want to drive a Porsche. But still it sells.

Re: Porsche drives into Pakistan

I agree with Elahi, I knwo taht one has the right to spend his'her money as they like but there should be respect for those who are less fortunate then others.
