It’s well known that Pakistani guys are the biggest consumers of porn in the world (Source: Google Trends). I know lots of guys rely on it instead of relationships for whatever reason. After marriage, what is your view on porn? Would you be ok with your husband using it? I am trying to see all perspectives..please add your own…I hope it will help me formulate mine.

Anyway, I don't "approve" of porn, but I understand the desire to watch/use it. So though I wouldn't condemn someone for porn, I would discourage it.
It also depends on what kind of porn. Photographs, videos, books? Violent or tame? I get freaked out by the violent and crazy ones out there, and those that make sex into a scary act or overtly objectify one of the partners. And certainly child pornography is disgusting.

Shouldn't it be our beliefs controlling us, rather than we controlling our beliefs.
I am alright with what my religion and my Lord are alright with and I am not alright with what my Lord is not happy with.
I pray to Allah (swt) to bless us with the strength and wisdom to be happy and unhappy with the things HE is happy and unhappy with, respectively.

Well...I suppose it could be girls, but considering the difference in literacy rates between men and women in Pakistan, and also the fact that men consume more porn than women, it's realistic to assume that the majority of ppl searching for porn in pakistani 'net cafes' are men. But you can replace Pakistani 'guys' with 'web surfers'..question is the same.

its a disease.....and its gross...
*why would you want to watch other people having sex?? on one hand we call it sacred...But then we go around exploiting it in the media...like some form of art!!

It’s like this. You get curious or influenced by someone, take a sneak peek, then oh a little bit won’t hurt, then oh once in a while won’t hurt, and then you get sucked in. Then, you start giving justifications and defending yourself and hope that Allah forgives you. I guess that’s how it works.

A lot of searches are done from Pakistan and majority of that is related to sex (sexual terms, etc.)
How do you know its the *guys *that are doing the searches?
You are putting the blame on Pakistani guys as if you don't watch it? If you don't watch it, how do you know about it to ask a question here?

And Oh, Pakistani guys are the biggest consumers, naaaaaaaaaah! I think Paki guys probably paid Google to report such a trend just so they look cool and state of the art.
My view on porn. Well, it’s all over the place at different levels. The movies, internet, magazines, Bollywood (!!!)… I guess some of it just throws itself on you. I think Allah has give a normal human being a great sense of self control, the ability to control our temptations…an ability that differentiates us from animals. Maybe if we just think about that we could be better off without such negative contaminants.
