By Islam we can not make something halal that is haram, but at the same time we can not make haram something that is halal.
So here are a few simple questions, would appreciate a yes or no answer with some explanations and the research behind it, (more than just sum of anyone's distastes)
1) Can one have pigs if one is not planning to eat them, e.g. as scavengers on a farm
2) Is it Haram (note I specifically used the word haram) to use items made of pigskin?
Please come back with real answers to these questions with some supporting proof. If you cant manage to do that, bow out gracefully and admit you dont know.
