I love saris, they are beautiful… ![]()
Re: Popularity of saris soars in Pakistan thanks to Indian TV soaps.
same is the case here in india also. They all are getting boring. But some girls and aunties just love watching them i guess. this could continue in future:naraz:
Re: Popularity of saris soars in Pakistan thanks to Indian TV soaps.
The indian dramas do my head in! Ive only seen 1 or 2 but jeez they're too much....howeva i do like the sari's the women wear tho!
Re: Popularity of saris soars in Pakistan thanks to Indian TV soaps.
These soaps starting with the letter K.
I'd gladly join any Ekta Kapoor haters club.
but hey, what's this about dissing the sari? It's a beautiful garment, looks elegant, or sensual or modest or anything you'd like it to be.
It complements all kinds of body types, whether you're a bit overweight or underweight. it hides what it should and flaunts what it should, as per your liking.
Few garments hold such feminine charm as the sari.
Re: Popularity of saris soars in Pakistan thanks to Indian TV soaps.
DUDE, I have nothing to say after reading this post…(You sound like my father 20 years ago)…Its just simple, you are comparing the Sati culture and dark ages with today’s world, that’s totally insane. This proves that Pakistan is atleast 20 years behind India in some respects. Believe me, I would agree to all the points you made above, 20 years ago but I guess in India times have changed and I can’t say that abt Pakistan. May be someday, when your daughter would want to sit with you and enjoy watching TV…you will understand. I used to feel weird way back in eighties when condom/Sanitary napkins ads used to pop up during movie breaks with family but things have changed drastically in the last 25 years. Sex education is not a TABOO subject in India atleast. Maybe in Pakistan, in the next 20 years things will change and you will also change. You will also enjoy watching TV with your family, without locking the females in your family up in a room. All, I want to say…Times change, ppl change and the society changes.(check for yourself, do you still live the way your father or grandfather lived…no right, you love to chat with girls, which your father or grandfather would have never thought abt) in the same way your kids will me more mordern/open than you…NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO. If you get a chance get a copy of the movie “NAMESAKE”, that shd open your mind a bit !!!
Re: Popularity of saris soars in Pakistan thanks to Indian TV soaps.
Don't women trip over themselves wearing a sari?
Re: Popularity of saris soars in Pakistan thanks to Indian TV soaps.
Third class dramas......
600 actors and actresses....
5 years long pooh dramas....
PTV old dramas are thousands timee better than that...
The discussion is not about Indian dramas vs Pakistani dramas, Its about the popularity of saris in Pakistan because of the Indian soaps.

I guess novices do... it does feel kinda awkward but wear it enough and you get used to it....

Re: Popularity of saris soars in Pakistan thanks to Indian TV soaps.
wearing sariz is an art it self, n women who carries them really have patience. i personally love every dress…it jus vulgarity in the name of so called fashion bugs me ![]()
n they might trip. lack of confidence is the reasoning behind. cuz along wid sari, wearing pencil heel is more considering matter. ![]()
