Re: Pope Urges Blasphemy-Law Repeal
Pope would do good to put pressure on child molesting priests before commenting on other religion's affairs.

oh wow, we get more offended when somebody calls a pope plumpy, and we are all ok when somebody calls everything to an aalim-e-deen in islam. please be respectful when you mention the pope, but go all abusive against ulama of your own religion.
shamelessly today we hold our enemies dearer to us than our leaders.
delete this one also if you get offended by truth
we MUST NOT be abusive to anyone...PERIOD!
Re: Pope Urges Blasphemy-Law Repeal
I think pope comments on the blasphemy law do not commensurate with his stature. Probably he is unaware of the fact that this law is not against any religion and it protects the religious susceptibility of each Jew, Christian and Muslim by refraining any person to pass any derogatory remarks against Hazrat Moosa, Hazrat Essa , Hazrat Muhammad and rest of the prophets we believe in.
Further majority of the cases registered against the Muslims under the said law. i think govt should send a delegation to Vatican comprising of the lawyers (who have indepht knowledge of shariah and islamic jurisprudence) and competent scholars so that the misconception of the Pope could be removed.
Perhaps pope should take these laws as guidance n to use his influence to make such kinds of laws in christain countries as well so that the blasphemy / passsing derogatory remarks for the jesus could be avoided. As we see in the english movies that there are rampant stuff in the movies which can be classified as blasphemous..

Re: Pope Urges Blasphemy-Law Repeal
This is hilariously pathetic.
The Pope, by publicly forming an anti-blasphemy pressure group, is actually going against the Old testament and New testament itself.
"And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him as well as the stranger, as he that is born in the Land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death"
(Leviticus, 24:11-15)
"Wherefore I say unto you, all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men, but to blasphemy against the Holy Christ, shall not be forgiven unto men"
(Mathew, 12:31)
Talk about hypocrisy, double standards, and neo-imperialism!
Then again, the Kuffar, Munafiq, and Mushrikeen do not deserve, nor have any business being regarded, for a say in the matters of Muslims, if we indeed are what we call ourselves.
Its just such a pity how the majority of the "literate" and "enlightened moderates" blindly follow the apparent glimmer of "liberalism" and "secularism". Words fail me, to see such wanton disregard for our roots, and unwavering determination to affix to western-likeliness, for these effects do not even deserve to be called "values".
“I will definitely mislead them. I will certainly stir up vain and wanton desires in them. I will command them and they will split the ears of the cattle (a common practice of the idol worshippers). I will persuade them, and they will change and corrupt the nature (or the order) of things that Allah has created. Whoever takes Shaitan as his master instead of Allah, has indeed incurred a severe and significant loss!"

Re: Pope Urges Blasphemy-Law Repeal
Instead of general criticism you will help your cause a lot better when you can point out specific cases where some respectable ulemas of Islamic faith have been insulted in the forum. The forum policy is to allow discussion if someone does not agree with religious person's opinion to have a certain freedom of expression. The existence of this thread is a proof of this fact. Insulting religious figures of any faith is not allowed in this forum..
Dear mod, you said instead of general criticism i should point out specific case... in reply to this one, while quoting this same post of yours, i pointed out a specific case, (mentioned the link) also pointed out the exact posts, but again my post got deleted, for no reason. it was not abusive at all. if you guys had to remove this 2nd post, you were supposed to remove this post of yours as well. where you said i'm generally criticizing and not pointing out the specific cases.
i hope this is a mistake, if not, this is yet another example of mods in PA being biased and not fair

Ulema should be respected when they say something reasonable. But sadly, most of these so called Alims never say anything worthy of respect.
Re: Pope Urges Blasphemy-Law Repeal
Since you won’t stop derailing the thread, therefore I will reply you here. First of all the case you mentioned was 2009 and this is 2011. Give me a case from this week and I will take care of it. Your initial post was removed because you had called pope “poop”
Let me also make some clarification about the thread you had mentioned. Hafiz Saeed is not an Islamic Scholar but has been associated with banned jihadist organization. **We have a zero tolerance policy for anyone supporting such organizations and the personalities responsible for these organizations.
**
Now, if you have any further questions regarding yours posts, the specific thread you had mentioned, or forum policies, please contact me through pm. I will strongly suggest you and everyone for that matter to refrain from derailing this thread and watch your language people!
Any off topic posts from this point will be removed and an infraction will be issued.
Thank you!

Re: Pope Urges Blasphemy-Law Repeal
LOL
Pakis are going to listen to the Pope...right...
Re: Pope Urges Blasphemy-Law Repeal
Thankfully the Pakistanis have not recalled their Ambassador like the Egyptians. Now that would be an over reaction.
Re: Pope Urges Blasphemy-Law Repeal
That's the wrong move by Pope, the office of Pope must be neutral at all times - it's the only way he can get respect from all the religions.
But after this statement, that is so low of him - he becomes a party - he must leave the office, in my opinion.

classy … by the way… this Jammat Islami Women Wing must change their name to - Ninja Wing !
Re: Pope Urges Blasphemy-Law Repeal
i love how specific the poster is. "regarding blasphemy act and asyia". surely the context makes that unnecessary.
Re: Pope Urges Blasphemy-Law Repeal
Not a bright move on the part of the pope. He has every right to ask that christians be treated fairly just like we cry about palestanians and people of kosovo. But the numbskulls in pakistan will take this as a conspiracy against islam and use it to whip up support against asia bibi.
Re: Pope Urges Blasphemy-Law Repeal
I'm Catholic but I hate the current Pope.
Re: Pope Urges Blasphemy-Law Repeal
^ I feel sorry for you man. But I think he lacks the Wisdom of Jhon Paul the second, this Pope was contreversial before he took the post.
Re: Pope Urges Blasphemy-Law Repeal
What right does the Pope have to butt his nose in to ‘‘ISLAMIC’’ laws ![]()
