Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
I hope the "Nawa-i-Waqt" newspaper in Pakistan also pays attention to it and stops inciting violence and hatred. Usually they continue their so called "protest" campaigns even after a matter has been settled.
Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
:k: thank you.
Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
Good, he should watch his tongue.
Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.

Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
Sir Dig A Lot, have u heard that Muhawara, Talwar key ghao bhar jatey hain, Zubaan ka ghaoo aasaani sey nahin bharta.
This remark by Pope made me so sad, that i can't describe it.
Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
Yes i am calm but this idiot doesn’t deserve to be a pope. He speaks for hundereds of millions of good catholic christians and he should know better. He should come out and say I was wrong and I am sorry.
Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
that’s the irony isn’t it. pope says something bad about islam, so these people riot and bomb churches while protesting, ‘islam is the religion of peace!’ it’s embarrassing at the very least.
Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
It is sad but at the same time it is a very emotional and serious issue for all the muslims. Dont u think?????
Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
i think serious issues are best approached seriously! a child, when confronting a serious or emotional issue, throws a tantrum and cries. adults on the other hand consider the issue thoughtfully and then try to work out a solution.
violent mobs are like children. and like children, their tantrums get a lot of attention, but ultimately make adults turn away wearily, or say whatever the child wants to hear in order to get the child to shut up as quickly as possible. but nothing really gets solved from throwing a tantrum, because the noise of the tantrum quickly drowns out everyone’s awareness of what CAUSED the tantrum in the first place.
the better way to handle a serious issue is the adult way, which does not involve violence and firebombings. it involves rational reasonable dialogue that tries to find a solution. it may not get as much attention in the very short run as screaming and wailing does, but in the long long run, it is the only response that gets – or deserves – serious and thoughtful attention, and which leads to real dialogue, real understanding, and real solutions.
Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
waste of breath....
A wise man had said: Lost time, a slip of the tongue, and an arrow that leaves the bow can never be brought back, and another idiom in English says “what ever is in the heart will come to the tongue.
Keeping these two phrases in consideration we reach a conclusion that None and I mean None of the western leaders political or religious think of Islam as a peaceful religion.
They all think Islam is an evil concoction of Stone Age traditions and terror.
The only mistake pope made is to speak out loud what he thought, unlike Bush and Blair who say one thing and believe something else.

lol..........pakistani are allways trying to make that potion "Stone Age traditions and terror" in the streets of Karachi, and once again they are....
hopefully i know lots of muslims who are wise
Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
Why say something if you’re not man enough to stand by it? why quote somebody else to get your views across, why not be man enough to say something directly rather than quoting someone else?
I think the man’s a bit of a coward to go back on his word or a naïve if he thought Muslims would go on by letting people diss their religion like a bunch of castrated Nasrani alter boys.
I must say though it was a bit rich coming from the leader of Catholics/Christians, if he wants evil and terrorism just let him look at his own scriptures, the Old Testament which they (naoodhibillaah) believe to be from God/Yahovah/Adonai/Allah and also at the New Testament and the history of his own [sarcasm]glorious[/sarcasm] church and followers (burning William Tyndale at the stake, oppressing the Orthodox Church in India, IRA in Britain).
I get a feeling of Deja Vu, I can swear I replied to this thread before.
Edited for language.
Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
You are the wisest among us all , You have learnt the fine art of how to live in a foreign country and depict a apologetic attitude that will get you accepted in all circles. People calling you a “NON-Radical Muslim" (What a disgrace). How great is that ..
You can live in a foreign land and speak your mind as you can live in Pakistan and speak your mind too, so lets get rid of this wussy attitude.
Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
Yes both jang and nawai-waqt are very opinionated and are basically anti anyone who says anything against Pakistan and Islam. The GEO website is also very anti-India. So I decided to switch over to paklinks.
Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
^
It's not like Paki media's the only one which is biased, everyone does it, look at CNN, BBC or Indian Media, they're all bashing Pakistan and/or Islam.
Nobody is bothered about the truth, fair dialogue or soloutions, the world's an unfair place, everyone just wants to support their own side whether right or wrong.
Re: ~! Pope Apologizes.
good! he shud be sorry
