My parents were both born in Hyderabad. My mother was born the year of partition and was 3 years old when my nana and nani moved to Karachi. My father’s family stayed in India. My father eventually moved to Karachi in the late 60’s, he and and my mother married and immediately moved to the US. I have family living in both India & Pakistan, including my inlaws and dadiyal, who are still in Karachi.

I’m born and raised in the US married to a Pakistani who came here when he was 15. So by that notion, no, I’m probably not “Pakistani”, however I’m extremely proud of not only my Indian/Hyderabadi heritage but also my husband and Pakistani relatives.

1. kashmir was muslim-majority ruled by a hindu and hyderabad was hindu-majority ruled by muslims.

Point to be noted:

So Hindu Raja handing over Muslim majority state to India was okay with India.
But Muslim ruler keeping Hindu majority area independent or handing over to Pak was not okay with India.

i dont know if green beret pai ready the wiki page on opreyshan polo, it is quite pro-india, makes the hyderabadi ruler look pretty bad.

It's pretty rare, you get the odd Northern Pakistani adult with dirty blonde hair but it's uncommon and you will almost never find those Scandinavian blonde types

I think it may be more common in some areas than others. I have a Pakistani friend (from Peshawar) with ash blonde hair. It seems to be a family trait as most of his family have it too. I've seen quite a few people from that region with varying shades of blonde, so I don't think it's that rare.

It's uncommon in KPK too though relatively more common than elsewhere, it's more common in Kalash and Chitral, as well some parts of Kashmir.

i've never seen a natural blonde adult Pakistani; i used to have light brown/dark blond-esque hair when i was a toddler but then it darkened...

Well, Pakistanis are surprisingly lot more diverse than Pakistanis think, forget the outsiders. I've seen plenty of blonde Pathan kids in Afridi tribe.

My sister's roots are darker than the ends, so she's not overwhelmingly blonde but in sunny summer, her hair gets significantly lighter. But she's a freak of nature anyway, was 5'8 1/2 before she was 14.

That's pretty rare for any ethnicity in Pakistan; do you have any non-south asian ancestry?

As I said people suffered on both side of the border. if we got hearts to feel suffering of people on our sides, then Indians also got the same feelings. if our hatred is justified then they also got justification for their hatred. hatred Vs hatred. aakhir kab tak?
