It is understandable that a somewhat attractive girl wearing provacitive attire is most likely to be raped compared to a little boy or an old fat lady like you described.
Girls wearing provocative outfits should get some blame if they were to be raped.
My point is if you dress like a whore, the chances of you being sexually assaulted by some pervert is very high.

If she "deserves" to be raped Umair, then why doesn't the average man go out and rape a woman he sees walking down the street who is dressed in a fitted top or a skirt? Most men wouldn't, simply cause it is wrong. Rape is a punishable crime which is against the law for a reason. Nobody has the right to rape and you are justifying an atrocious act of violence which is something I do not agree with.
Rape isn't about sex or lust which is what a lot of people do not understand. It's about control, humiliation and power. What you wear is pretty much irrelevant. It's about subjecting the victim to violence in order to feel powerful. It's quite sick and twisted and people shouldn't equate it simply to lust.

that could include little kids since they are alone, girls walking ALONE down a street (skirt or burqa), a rapist thinking he can get away with it, a rapist thinking that the girl/kid will not talk about it to anyone (out of shame) as alot of people said its power play.

People blaming victims. Wow. I mean the thinking level is so reduced that it does not even deserve an argument. Just a slap in the face. These people think that they live in a 'Just World'. You do what you do and what you do comes back to you. Karma. BS.
Buddy might be true but bad things happen to good people too. Rape is the prime example. A girl is out with provacative clothing and drinking is 'asking her self to be raped'? Are these people out of their bloody minds? There are certain crimes people do that might have some reasonablity behind it but not for rape.
The solution is simple. These people must accept that in a world where bad things -- such as poverty, rape, starvation, and murder -- can happen to good people for no good reason.

In Massachusetts (and probably also other states), having sex with a girl that is drunk is considered rape, even if she consents.

Its still rape if the girl is drunk or out of her mind. Doesn't matter. You need an active CONSENT. However, I think that independent of the rapist's guilt, there is some responsibility to be shouldered by the drunk girl. Why was she drunk in the first place? It gives license to girls to go out wild, because they think that no one will take advantage of them because there are LAWS. But once the damage is done, its done.
Umair: You said its a major reason, dress that is. Then you need to produce a stat that says most women who are raped were ill-dressed. There just is no stat.
In fact, if anything, there are stats that say a significant number of women raped are raped at night in isolated dark areas and are usually alone. So yes, that's a major risk factor I think. Also, raping drunk/high girls is also quite a significant number. I never read a stat on dress apparel, though. If you can produce on, then great. And not just one. A bunch of stats that repeat the same findings.

Ms. Chole, the point is that even though I left the door open, it doesn't mean the thief had any right to come into the house and steal. He cannot argue that just because the door was open, I share responsibility in his crime. No judge can reprimand me saying, because you left the door open I have to spend some time in jail too.
It is wise to keep the door locked but I don't share any responsibility at all. So, while it is unwise, actually stupid for a girl to be drunk at a party, it doesn't make her partly responsible for being raped. While others say that she shares some blame, I don’t think being stupid is a crime, otherwise we would have jailed our president since long.

maybe your insurance will not cover the expenses due to the theft if that was stated in the contract that you should keep your house locked in a certain way to be eligible to damage fees, but legally a theft is a theft, no matter if the house/shop is open or closed!

OK, here is the scenario, girl flirts with a guy, seduces him, he is turned on, and they have sex.
The girl feels the guilt of having sex and does not have an answer to her family & friends, so she says she is raped. Whether or not it she consented, her acts lead up to this unfortunate event.
Eventhough the guy should be punished, the girl is of equal blame in my opinion.
