got a letter home…saying i was seen goin thro red lights in Manchester at the speed of 25 mph…they want me to identify the driver (which was me neway) and fill in the details…failed to do so…fine up to £1000, 3 penalty points and a court apointment…
first i was waaaayy below the limit anyway…and i was in middle of manchester after lunch wen it was really bzy neway…i myt have bin in a queue and decided to go ahead instead of waiting at the traffic lights…
everybody dus that…DAMN IT…

I remember my first speeding ticket n then court appointment. Unfortunately, I never knew there are going to be dozen of ppl already in the court room n will be the day of my embarrassement Nevertheless, I enjoyed that xperience

You have to suck it up...provide them with the details they want and pay the fine. That way, its over and done. If you don't, they WILL go after you, fine you and have the points put on your lisence...something you really want to avoid.
Even if everyone does it, its against the rules and its becoming ever more common to put cameras on red lights. You're on film breaking the rules. Note also, those little stubs you get on the thru-ways and highways are time-stamped. If you get from one place to another at a rate of speed greater than the speed limit allows, you may get a nice little envelope in the mail which contains a speeding ticket.
i had no idea those time-stamped thingees were there for that…
i meanof course i’ll pay the fine and all if there is any but common i was going soo slow and i myt have gone thru amber andnot realised it was soo close to red…!!!
Once while I was driving to NY, after paying toll at the triborough bridge it was I think, as I drove off I remember seeing a flash light and looked up to see a camera. I knew I was speeding so that entire trip to NY I was expecting to get bac khome and receive a pretty little envelope from the police but fortunately it never arrived.
Anyhow in future just try to folow the rules especially when there is a camera in front of you!
Nevertheless, I enjoyed that xperience
