To be fair, what was the nature of the shrine that was demolished...was it old and a hazard?
Needless to say, if a shrine was revered and very frequently visited...no doubt the authorities would consider it (at least for Hindu shrines)...this is why it is important to determine the nature of the alleged Hindu shrines that were demolished with respect to the Muslim one. Were they makeshift? Were they well established? And so on...
THis attitude that for the sake of development historical places needs to be demolished is anti-cultural...seems odd in a country like India that is chalk full of historical places.
