Parveen Shakir died in a road accident. The poet who gave Urdu poetry a new life was just 42.

Nasir Kazmi… (choti behar main baRi shahkar ghazlen likhne wala shayar) died at the age of 47 due to stomach cancer.

Insha ji Utho ab kooch karo, iss shehr main ji ko lagana kia…
The writer of these lines ‘Ibn e Insha’ was just 51 years old when he died. He was diagnosed Lymphoma (a type of blood cancer)

Rauf khalid died in a road accident at 53. I thought he was much younger than that at the time of his death.
Mustafa Zaidi died at the age of forty. Murder or suicide, jury is still out on that.

The person who gave Urdu story its new identity and brought forward real life issues in his writings, as compared to supernatural stuff of Alif Laila and Chahar darwesh, surrendered to death at the age of 43 years. Some says it was alcohol, some says it was partition that killed Saadat Hussain Manto at this early age, but Manto is still through his stories which have not lost their relevance even after 50 years of his death.

counts.. when leeches like Altaf Hussain and Zardari are alive after 60 years, why we lost such people before their sixties.
Rauf Khalid looked young. definitely a talented writer, director and actor.

This link says he was killed at the age of 49. Was active PPP worker. As per wikipedia he was killed by Taliban in 1996
