PML-Q hints at forming federal govt. with PPP

LAHORE: According to sources of PPP and PML-Q, two political parties have resolved confronting the other political giant – PML-Q – at the federal government level, Geo News reported Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Q-league has assured PPP of its unconditional support with its parliamentary power in the face of any untoward situation, two parties sources confirmed to media.

PML-Q also indicated to join PPP-led coalition at Federal Government level to pose serious threat to other coalition partners of PPP in the government.

Earlier on Monday, Federal Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Babar Awan and Central Leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi after holding a meeting here on Monday said Pakistan People’s Party and PML-Q are hand-in-hand on national issues.

Babar Awan and Pervez Elahi were briefing the media men after holding a meeting at the latter’s residence.

Babar Awan said the role of their parties may be different but their objective is the same. There is no place for arrogance in politics and that there should be respect for all parties whether inside or outside the Parliament, he added.

He said PML-Q is an active parliamentary participator and one of the main stakeholders in the country’s politics.

“We have a unanimity of views on national interests,” the Federal Law Minister remarked, adding that a culture of tolerance, harmony is a way forward for the people of Pakistan.

He said PPP has gone to each and every party in the country. “We went to Mansoora and the leadership of Jamat-e-Islami and we also met with politicians in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtoonkhwa,” he added.

Babar Awan said he appreciated the advice given by PML-Q during the meeting for pro-people agenda and good governance and that the same would be conveyed to the Prime Minister.

PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi on the occasion said it is imperative to sit together in view of the challenges the country is presently faced with.

I have no objection if they kick mqm out and include PML (Q). Atleast they are not murderers and kill people because of their ethinicity.

PPP knows this is their last government so they are doing everything they can to save it. Now they have found opportunity in PMLQ whom they used to call their biggest enemies.
PML-Q should stay away from them and let PPP die their natural death.

mardood Zia-ul-Haq also said that when he killed Bhutto and tried to obliterate every sign of him including his speeches. People also said that when BeNazir was killed. But PPP is still alive today and ruling the country, even after more than three decades the death of its founder. Keep dreaming.

By the way PPP is the only national party with representation all over Pakistan. Even it loses the future elections it will sit in opposition. Don't worry, next elections will again bring it back with full force by looking at other stupid, relegious and ethinic parties.

Seems like PPP has decided to take on at least one of PML(N) and MQM.

As far as people crying foul, this is normal politics in Pakistan. PPP, MQM, PML(N), ANP etc etc everyone has done this and will keep on doing it. Just tell us that no party has any ideology. They all are in politics for personal agenda.

Don't cry foul on PPP corruption because others are corrupt too.
Don't cry foul on PPP political shenanigans because others are not angels either.

^ See :D No argument can be complete without involving 'others'.

Seriously speaking, it hurts PPP. There are many good guys in the party but these days they are overshadowed by the dumb wits who constantly keep saying 'other are corrupt too, we have a right to do corruption as well'. It would be better for the party to think through and form sensible responses to the allegations.

Instead of pointing fingers at others, PPP could justify improving relations with PML Q saying something like 'Q league is an important political force in the country and we want to move on reconciliation (specially for smaller provinces) blah blah blah'. Simply saying others change ideologies too, thats why we have a right to do that as well might avoid difficult questions but doesn't create good impression.

Its not the matter of others or not others, whats wrong is wrong but when you see media trial of PPP, it make you sympathize to PPP even if you are not a PPP voter/supporter. Just look at Kamran Khan shows of last 2 days or Hamid Meer shows. Aisa lagta hai jaisey PPP kamran khan ke baitee ko bhaga ker lai gaee. Kamran Khan pretending to be in SO MUCH SHOCK as if this never happened in Pakistan and will never happen again.

I wonder where these media monkeys were when Shahbaz sharif visited Chaudhris to put pressure on PPP (around the time when punjab assembly was dissolved) or PML(N) leaders visited 90 for the "taaziat" of MQM's member's killing (we all know how much it was for taaziat).

Why did not these media monkeys came out with same intensity then? was it OK then?

after saying all this, I totally agree with you. All this should not justify PPP's stunt.

to me this seems nothing more than a dhamki to pmln and mqm, i dont think ppp will kick mqm out, and similarly i dont think pmlq members will join ppp to form govt in punjab, they would rather join "hamkhyal group" or become lotay and lurakfy towards pmln

but again, anything can happen in pakistani politics, specially when people like zardari are heading the largest party...

I still doubt the chances of them being together, the badmash chaoudhries of Gujrat have great animosity towards Zardari and the PPP. Their mother, who just passed away also hated the PPP. Also, this might seem shameful, but then again the PPP did strike up an alliance with those murdering racist terrorists from the MQM.
