What shades of pink are u talkin about?? I love pink.. why would it make me look fat... say it ... it aint trueeeeeeee
However, I think almost everyone can pull off a certain shade of pink.. plus pink adds a subtle glow to the face.. It picks up the pink in the cheek... For interviews, pink is a no no, for everyday, we all can use a lil pink..

I totally agree with u about # 1!! Oh and i hate those foamy looking huge platform type of *flip flops*...they look so cheap...but sometimes, wearing the flatter ones r good for like a long trip, or the beach or something...otherwise, we use those for our house or bathroom chappals hehe! And when it comes to makeup i agree less is more...but i've noticed asian girls in America where tonnes compared to Europe...and in Pakistan i have cousins who r really simple looking like me, but then i saw some who looked like they belonged to a circus lol! I've heard, for lining ur lips u shud use a lip pencil that is the same colour as ur lips...but i wudn't know cos i can't stand wearing lipstick (only wore it on my engmnt.)...I think see-thru tops/kameezs are fine and very girly BUT u have to, i repeat have to wear a slip/camisole too! Otherwise, y even wear the top, if u want ppl to see ur bra then just walk around in ur bra...fitting yes, shud be snug not skin-tight, but also not grandma shirt loose...and yea, accessories are my fave bit of dressing up...wot about grey for interviews? And wot is wrong with pink...i love it :blush:

ok devilicious and sara...i luvvvv pink too! i was talking about an all pink outfit....if u dont believe me...try on an all pink (light pink) or pastel pink outfit......i bet it will make u look like u gained some....!
as for makeup pagaldeewani, yeah i think not everyone needs foundation/powder but most people do have certain problem areas in their skin....e.g oily, dark circles, uneven tone etc...it is best to use makeup to just target that part and keep it minimal.
guys im still looking out for some tips on good eyeshadow colors to go with desi skin tones.....anyone got any? and what colors make eyes look bigger/brighter/smaller/deeper etc etc....

Desi eyes are typically the dark-n-mysterious type, I'd capitalize on that with smokey colors - when it really comes down to it, guys love the dark-n-mysterious more than the barbie blondie I think. To make eyes even darker, try black eyeliner on the bottom of your eyes, along the inside lid rather than the bottom. also, for some reason, a tiny, tiny dot of white at the very inside corner of your eye makes your eyes appear very clear and bright - thats a stage makeup trick used by ballerinas n broadway types but toned down it can work for evening makeup...daytime maybe not unless you're really careful about making it really tiny and a little blended.

I think it depends on the shade of your skin, for darker, more olive tones I think silver or gold shades look GORGEOUS. I was always envious of girls who could achieve that look.

Smokey colours look terrible on brown skin. It really does end up looking like racoon eyes.
Personally, eye shadow just does not suit me at all. I occassionally will do the cleopatra eyes with black liquid liner, but that's about it. No eye shadow looks right, at least I don't think so (on me that is) ... but you know, white eye liner looks surprisingly good on me.

So stay away from those dark colours. Seriously, it only looks good on fair/gori girls or girls with different coloured eyes (not the typical brown most of us have).
Have you ever tried those 'roller' eye shadows by L'Oreal? They make a nice soft pink colour that DOES look good ... their silver/white eye shadow is nice too. It's not too heavy so it's great to wear during the day.
Mind you, I don't like eye shadow at all, but my sister is really into it and it looks good on her.
