Guys alot of villages got affected by the earth quake, landslides etc caused so much damage in the northern areas of Pakistan. Please, everyone should do what they can and support all relief agencies, our countrymen need our help. I am sure in a short while they will start accepting donations.
Everyone who has any information on agencies accepting donations, please post we all need to do our part and get through this crisis. I am sure Eidhi would be actively working on this, thats a good place to start.
This is a terrible tragedy.. Its 2 am and I just got in touch with my family and luckily all is ok there... Cant say the same for others...

It is horrible. Quake was felt throughout central and northren areas. Islamabad apartment buildings are among the worst affected. One of the four Margala towers has collapsed. Most of the families were home when the quake hit. Man villages in the north have been wiped out. Oh God! so many people have lost there lives.

May Allah give strength to those who have lost lives..I am sure Edhi must have launched a relief effort. In the Hazara belt and Northern NWFP there are serious dangers of major landslides.
Well said! Another aspect is the rebuilding process in northren areas can be really slow. We all need to donate to Edhi or other organizations so that people in those small villages can be back on their feet quickly.
it doesn't matter how much one donates, it can be one penny or amillion pounds,,, but plz make sure you are donating to the right people... or through the right ppl,,, the money you donate shud be spent rightly.

I just spoke to a colleague whose family is from that area (Chakothi I think). He told me that the city of Muzaffarabad has been fully decimated. That guy and I actually volunteered together for a Hurricane Katrina relief event last weekend.
I hope everyone opens their hearts and wallets to help these people. Governments on both sides suck big time in terms of capability, so all these NGOs need help.
