can anyone plz tell me if there is a nice collection of ready made dresses and lehnga in Dubai? Lehnga doesnt have to be stitched just already made....
any specific shops? any expereince? I would love to know about it... also price ranges?
Would it be better to get in Pakistan or Dubai? I just dont have enough time to go to pakistan and get the Lehnga made... dresses i might be able to do something....
also any good jewlery shops in dubai?
Thanks,
anyways yes a boutique has recently opened in Dubai and it houses all the big name pakiistani designers with their bridals... so yes it is possible to get good pakistani bridals from dubai now....
also jewellery no problem, ready made and custom all available..
Aisha,
I don't live in Dubai, I will be just staying there for few days on my way to Paksitan from US.... Can you tell me boutique names? address? anything that makes it easier to get there?
Are they really high end boutiques? I am not looking for something too expensive.....
I suggest getting the readymade lehnga's from Pak. The ones u'll find here are Indian lehnga's or extremely expensive Manish Malhotra, HSY ones. Even jewellery is better in Pak and u can get an exact same match with u're bridal dress!
thanks guys! but since I will be in dubai for few days anyways... where do you recommend going? what is worth checking out? :)
even indian places, i would like to visit atleast.....
Sara , Dont depend on dubai for your shopping ... they are totally unreasonable prices and the variety is next to zero ! I am in the same dillema as you, I have lived in dubai all my life , now moved to the UK , getting married in islamabad and its a living hell to decide where to do what !!!
Dubai is not helping me one bit other then the gold shopping or some basic electronics shopping ( budget wise ) - I dont have any idea of the Pakistan market hence am dependent on the UK market .. I have recently found some good shops in Birmingham and Manchester for lehenga's costing around £350-500
HAHA! dear there is lots of variety and reasonable things in Dubai too! Don't you read bandhan! Dubai is evolving and slowly is becoming a good place for shopping of this nature. You just have to know the places to look out for. Have you ever gone to gold souk or all the nookie corners of Dubai? Plus you have to know the art of bargaining! Prices do become reasonable if you know how to!
^ I agree! Soiree has all the designers..plus Manish Malhotra makes gorgeous bridal lehnga's! Dubai has really nice pure gold sets if u're interested...
I bought lots of fabric from Dubai to be stitched and get kaam done on from Pakistan. It was quite worthwhile, price wise and quality wise. Didn't get anything readymade though.
